With regard to advice on acing levels, think about how many moves you have to: a) Move things around, and b)Put coins on targets. For example, if you've got a seven-step level, and there are several targets empty, you will have to expend some of those moves putting coins onto targets, et cetera.
This is a very simplistic, yet complex game. I think the music accents perfectly the amount of thinking you're doing...not enough to be distracting, but just enough to be there. Well done, and I look forward to seeing what else you'll have for us in the future :) 5/5.
Since the controls aren't too complicated, would you mind adding WASD? My left arrow key is broken, and it's not a hardware problem, so I can't fix it -__-"
I'll love you forever...:P
I find it strange that the "modifying spells" (Attack Up etc.) don't get cancelled out when one character has attack up and then gets weaken cast on them....I don't think a character should be able to have both the up and down effect simultaneously (e.g. having both haste and slow cast on the same character)...kind of defeats the point of both of 'em xD
Princess Jennifer is just about the most frustrating biker in this game. And the levels associate with her are plain infuriating as well.
Aside from that, it's fine. :P
I'd like to see WASD controls, if at all possible. I know the brake is assigned to D, but my left arrow key is rather broken at the moment, so I'd like another control scheme. Thanks! ^^;
Definitely needs WASD controls...other than that, no complaints for the like three feet of game I got to see. My left key is broken on my laptop, and it's a software problem, so there's nothing I can do :P
This game is full of win, from the "start muted" button, to the improvement on the first game in basically every way. Free bonus shop items are excellent, too. :D
I love this game. 5/5. :)
(Also, "rising from my grave" was for so much win that it hurts me to try to describe it. <3)
What exactly does the "adventure drop system" do, anyhow? It says that if my added treasure point total is over 100, then I should get the best item for that adventure, but when I get 115 on one monster and around 85 on the other two, I only get 2/4 drops...makes no sense to me whatsoever. Aside from that, I will echo what some of the other commentators are saying and state that it does feel awfully grindy.
Those two objections, coupled with the fact that I don't like the RNG-ness of "matched sets" games like this cause it to be a 3/5 for me...
A solid effort, of course, but just not up to stuff with your other work. Cheers, though.
The chocolate salesman's dialogue was rather convoluted; I ended up buying the wrong kind of chocolate even though I had the tip telling me which one was correct...now I can't exchange it. ;A;
Still a 5/5, though.
There is no mid-level pause button, just in case you didn't want to play the level you were on and want to say, switch levels, adjust settings, etc. It's a very well-made game aside from that, so it gets a 4/5.
There should be a "help" section that lists all of the things you are told in the tutorial over again in case a player (myself >.>'') forgets. Also, a slightly more in-depth explanation of the skill mechanics would be useful at the start.
I was kind of saddened that there wasn't an easter egg for dialing 867-5309. Ah well, it's still a great addition to the series. Length is fine, nothing was too difficult...5/5 from me :3 Keep up the good work.
I think your game is like a Pokémon: it's really Dragonite out -_-''
What I mean to say, all puns aside, is that the game takes way too long to introduce each facet. You could throw in splitters and combiners in the same level set, as opposed to in different stages.
Also, the later stages would really benefit from a "Reset" button.
3/5; -1 for the general inefficiency detailed above, and the other -1 is because this type of game isn't exactly entertaining -_-''
Thanks for submitting it, though ^^;
Do the mages from Poison Water reduce the amount of poison they have on them? It seems kinda unfair if I'm also a Poison Water Mage, and my poison doesn't last, whereas theirs does because my poison doesn't go down.
That's a pretty solid approach. Glad you enjoyed it :)
