To unlock the Hardcore Device, you must keep building up experience until you unlock it, and until you unlock everything in the game by that matter. If you're interested in gold stars, try killing many, destroy a lot and take few (or none) damage. @Mmeaninglez, to access the Hangar, go to the Misson Selection screen. On the bottom you see the buttons "Back", "Save", "Hangar" and "Start Mission"... wanna guess where you gotta click? =P

Kill a boss with a single strike... what weapon should I use for that then?

It kinda reminds me of the very 1st Wario Land game for the GameBoy... in the end of it, according to the trophies and money you had, you could win something from a little cabin to a gigantic mansion... the diference here is in boats and diging...
