Don't listen to the others, this isn't pay-to-win. Sure, some things take a long time to build/research, but there's plenty of ways to earn the in-game currencies, and there's always something to do. When things start to slow down in city #1, you unlock city #2.
5 minutes in and I click the wrong thing and I can't do anything anymore. Not intuitive, buggy, I'd expect more from a game about software development.
Very interesting game, but just as starts to get good, it abandons the clever puzzle-solving mechanics and becomes a platformer. Had the potential to be much better.
Well, just beat the game, here's my thoughts:
- Graphics and programming are good, I didn't encounter any bugs or glitches.
- Gameplay is another story...wow, this game is easy. For one, you can jump straight to the guns and grab piercing, then go for bases, then power/speed. I never once felt threatened the entire time.
The only difficulty I ever had was when I tried to use the laser gun. For supposedly being the best weapon in the game, it's a disaster. A minor power upgrade, but a HUGE pain in aiming. Either make it work as well as the other guns, or make it significantly more powerful. The game is fun though, so I enjoyed it enough to play through. Just wish there was a bit more challenge :)
This game is almost really good. The one HUGE problem is that you aren't rewarded for playing well, because the longer you take, the higher your score, the more stars you get. If you gained a score bonus based on time, and were therefore able to get 3 stars by playing quickly, rather than dragging it out, it would be 5/5, but as it stands I give it 4/5.
The game is not rigged. The computer betters are neither better nor luckier than I am.
Very well done; fun, addictive, good AI. Also, I like the Awards. 5/5. It's a very simple game, but you made an excellent flash game out of it.
