This is a fun game. It's got its flaws, but overall it's all right. The items in the shop, however, are overpriced. I'm not opposed to paying for flash games (I'm not particularly for it either, but I'm not vehemently against it), but I'm not paying a dollar for a different colour of floor or two dollars for two tank skins. I might be interested in deluxe if you offered a free trial -- of maybe a day, or even just an hour or two. It's hard for anyone to justify it for a game that probably won't have many players in a few months, though.
The key to winning the Hard campaign seems to be getting a deck formed entirely around building your own castle to get to 100 and win that way. After trying that approach, it only took me a few tries to beat each level, and I beat the last on my first try. No attack cards, the only cards requiring weapons being Guards, Thief, and a few Recruits.
Super amazing game, instant 5 and favourited -- but none of the badges got awarded for me. I'll replay it when they work, I guess, since it's really short.
This game was simply brilliant. Tons of content -- my playthrough of this chapter took over 9 1/2 hours, though not all of it was active. The story is really good, especially by Flash game standards -- and it was all in proper English with no glaring errors that other games seem to be riddled with. It was definitely too easy at times -- the final boss was trivial, as was the arena, but I might have just gotten lucky with equipment. My only real complaint was the end -- not to give anything away, but I had more than 8 minutes left on the clock, and it would not have taken that long to dispatch the miniboss, making the decision made by one of the characters totally illogical, especially considering the weight of it.
This game's main problem is the Warmachine. The AI doesn't protect them quite well enough -- and sometimes even makes idiotic moves of randomly moving them out of range of their jammer truck and into range of the enemy planes and tanks. Since almost every map can be beaten by just targeting the Warmachines, the game becomes that. There's no part of the game that forces you to adapt your strategy for every map -- it's just hold out until you can make an attack on the Warmachine(s).
Also, the bonus map is ridiculously easy this time around. You and the AI start with pretty much equal strength -- which is pretty much an instant human win.
I enjoyed the game, but the concept of beating it two more times -- even with different classes -- it would just take too long. Getting badges should be enjoyable, not tedious.
Wow, the API got changed - crossing my fingers for badges! Unfortunately, it's now reporting me as only having 1 trophy because that's how many I've earned since the API settings got changed.
