I have one main complaint, which is that downs shouldn't be destroyed until you have done all three achievements for them. other then the first city, it gets near impossible to get timestoppers.
Amusing humor, but the gamer gets repetitive really quickly. Also, the outside of screen enemies is just kind of annoying. As for other fixes.. well, slowing down the flying drone would be helpful.
Plus, just to make things a bit more interesting, maybe homing claws after reach lvl 5? That and the saw blades would be better if they either did more damage, or gained a spread shot while leveling up.
Overall, a solid game though. 3/5
Pfft, easy? The badge should be an impossible!
Anyyywaaaaaays, the song is awesome.. Plus I want to try killing that boss with using nothing but weapons. (I can try! I have 50+ keys to spam!!!)
Perfect, and simple. Combines otherwise simple and easy games, and makes them difficult. Plus, the music is great for getting the player amped.. perfect, simply perfect.
Anybody calling this boring has obviously never played the classic legend of zeldas or just doesn't like RPGs. I am only on the first world, an I find it pretty damn fun. The script so far as I can tell is funny to.
Guys, here is the best tips i can think to give for the boss, listen carefully.
1) the BFG is very very very helpful in this fight.
2) Try to at least have HP maxed, and the berserk upgrades aren't needed, but they are very helpful.
THE BOSS:
1) Always keep moving and try to not get cornered, and when it lets out his swarm, try your best to not get hit by it.
2) use bullet time whenever trapped in a barrage, it helps a lot.
3) if you want to deal a fair deal of damage, use bullet time to move in close, and the use a beserk and run through the boss. (I find you can land 3-4 waves directly on the boss if you sit in the center of it for a moment when using the bullet time)
4)repeat until dead.
Very much so like touhou in the way the gun upgrades... and the speed at which you need to dodge. BUT, the hitbox is larger and you shoot all sides otherwise. Granted, it is addicting and fun, but also kind of gets old after awhile.
Man, I can't help but laugh at people giving crappy ratings over lag they can fix themselves if they actually got up and worked on it. (Stuff like browser history and game settings all set to low like me) I mean seriously people, a game with 15 larger enemies all continually moving towards you, with conitnual damage effects.. lag is obviously going to happen on higher settings unless your internet is highly kind to you. (Especially with kong chat loading continunally)
Regardless, 5/5!
I set it on newgrounds, and I will say it here.. This game is a major Amorphous clone. On think i REALLY wish you would have done.. was make it to where certain badges unlocked certain newe permanent upgrades. (Example: marksman earning you backwards shot when using doubleshot)
That, and once you get over the inital rush of badges.. the games gets.. dare I say, repetitive.Still solid, and works to some people's liking though, so 3/5
One major issue, it starts off a bit too hard. The first level is massively long, as if it was designed for somebody that already had upgrades. There needs to be more of a balance, muhch like there is in Gemcraft. In fact, it is obvious this game comes through as a Gemcraft ripoff.
Alright, sad to say, but you kind of missed the very essential balance between steep and easy. This, is a very very step game. Some people may like that, but when it gets to the need to very rapidly click all over, it just gets stupid. 2/5.
Tips: Make the spells upgrade faster (especialy the sword, where it seemed to not really change all too much), add a mana regen, and balance out the steepness a bit.
This game, very badly, needs a mass repair button. Also, it needs either co-op, or some sort of a sprint button so you can get around faster when dealing with the Barrier destroyers. In all honesty, I have to say 2/5 or so. (I haven't even played the CoD 5 zombies, so that has nothing to do with this.)
I honestly love this gamer. Sure, it CAN get boring occasionally. Though, that is supplemented by the ability for the player to be original with multiple different strategies on each level.
Oh god this is funny, people are crying because the game is to hard for them. I have to say, this is harder then many of the guitar style flash games I have seen. But the inclusion of the arrows and the ASDF buttons make it hard either way you play it. (Guitar hold, or not) Also, the learning curve is incredibly sharp. Sure, you cant fail, but you wont get your star you are going after. Overall, fun game, a bit too difficult because of more so layout issues, but overall a blast to play. 4/5
