It would be helpful if we could see the buffs we get from cheevos. Like how much additional damage we get from main and side cannons, increased chance for poison damage, increased poison DoT, you get the idea.
@doctahJonez i see what you mean with the drifting part there are no additional functions or buttons to use! its only the arrow keys(for drivng) and shift(to start the drift)
oh and about the stats, i didnt know pickup was acceleration, =D so will there be a sequel for this? this game TOTALLY made my days really fun =D
another thing, i was looking for a handbrake here (lol) but seriously it needs one so we can keep car in control and make tight turns. no car ever came out the factory with no handbrakes, right?
oh that gives me another idea to earn money and add a game mode: DRIFTING! hows this for a new game mode?
handbrake is shift - also fyi using that and back arrow together will get you stopped very quickly. all controls are shown in the controls panel of the instructions. drifting (and weapons etc.) was considered but we felt that with air control already more buttons/functions just made the game too complex so we left them out for now : )
the controls are the main problem here, obviously
also, the upgrades and cars are too pricey in other games i played the upgrades are within the budget of the player. i also think that during races, there should be an invisible barrier where the boundaries of tracks tell you to go. for some nice ideas. 1. more cars. i hate it when you only have limited cars to play with. there are racing games out there that has lots of cars. 2. more stats and info. currently theres only 2 stats. how about stats like acceleration, aerial maneuverability, handling, etc? it will be a BIG improvement. 3. a bigger map? it is also a lot of work, but it also gives a LOT of fun.
the controls are being worked on right now. i just lowered the price of 2 cars but you're right i should also lower the price of the upgrades (will be in next update). as for the number of cars and size of the map, both are tightly linked to the size of the player which we needed to keep as low as possible for quick streaming. i had experimented with other car upgrades, gimbal power & handling specifically but in practice it just made controlling the car tougher (the pickup stat is acceleration). thanks for the feedback : )
Oh, and another thing, why not add motorcycles and bicycles to this game? It would have more variety and more vehicles to play with.
Also, why not add another map? I think a "city" map would be awesome.
The problems with this game are: 1. Lack of motivation, as EPR89 said. 2. The challenges are few and limited to only 3 kinds. 3. The rewards are too small. 4. Car control is really rubbish.
My suggestions are the following: 1. Make w way to make people play this game. 2. Have more types of challenges, like racing with opponents, demolition derby, drifting etc. 3. Make the rewards bigger, like 20-30 credits per challenge. and 4. Add standard controls and new ways to interact, like having a handbrake, which can improve the steering problems as well as have fun drifting around.
