Aug 22, 2011 1:25am I’ll give you a quick definition and use of the different attributes. 1 Actors: set to another actor in the scene (only customizable in the add behavior screen for scenes or actor specific behaviors), it allows you to affect other actors in the level, from killing them to changing their position or motion etc. Can replace areas that say self. 2 Act… show moreI’ll give you a quick definition and use of the different attributes. 1 Actors: set to another actor in the scene (only customizable in the add behavior screen for scenes or actor specific behaviors), it allows you to affect other actors in the level, from killing them to changing their position or motion etc. Can replace areas that say self. 2 Actor type: set to an actor type (for example mambo), allows you to modify all the actors of a certain type or do stuff for every actor of a certain type. 3 Actor Group: set it to a collision group (like tiles or enemies for example) allows you to affect every actor in a certain collision group. 4 Animation: set it to an animation from the appearance tab in the actor editor, allows you to change the animation/appearance of an actor. 5 Boolean: probably doesn’t need explaining, but you can ask me about it if you want. 6 Color, set it to a color, the color used to draw. 7 Control: set it to one of the controls, allows you to change controls between actors or just change the controls easily. 8 Effects: set to an effect (not customizable from add behavior screen), allows you to change the effects used in a behavior for when certain conditions are met. 9 Font: set it to a style of text, helpful for making different texts draw when wanted. 10 Game Attribute: set it to a game attribute, useful if you want to select different game attributes for reference for different conditions or actors. 11 List: allows you to manage a list, things are added to the list, things can be taken away, thing on the list can be affected, etc. 12 Number: It’s a number. 13 Region: set to a region in the scene (only customizable in the add behavior screen for scenes or actor specific behaviors), great for referencing to a specific area or spawning actors in a specific area. 14 Terrain Region: I don’t use terrains, so unfortunately I can’t help here, but it’s not an important attribute in any way. 15 Scene: set it to a scene, allows you to switch to and reference to different scenes (imagine a menu of buttons that all sent you to the same scene and that would be what it would be like without this attribute). 16 Sound: set it to a sound, makes it more customizable. 17 Text: type in a text, has too many uses to explain here, but here is the most important customization of text drawn on screen. Those are all, remember the behaviors can change these attributes themselves using the setter blocks. If you have any question about a specific attribute please ask me.
