Lawl for the people who say that the number is supposed to be 7 just because it is the most commonly thought number, they are partly incorrect. They have you solve mathematical problems and then ask you to pick a number between 12 and 5. Your brain automatically picks the simplest mathematical way to derive a number (I don't know if I am clear) and does subtraction. 12-5=7.
