@jethan0823 it appears that something else bugged out, because I did get the award when I leveled up a completely different skill. It could be because I was on a unit conquest map when I did the level ups so it just didn't update the awards while a different unit is fighting?
I can't get the focus award because I raised vigilance to 5 before concentration. So apparently I need to have the exact skill requirements to get the reward and can't overflow? Love the rest of the game, but that's just sad game design.
The game is pointlessly though and unforgivable. In the early game you have to run around for 50 turns avoiding enemies until you get access to normal armor and hoping that you don't get ambushed by a high level enemy. I run around, building up to bronze armor only to randomly get an encounter with a griffin even though I didn't see him on the tile.
Sorry but this prestige system is just bad. The optimal way to get more stars is to reset every minute, which is pretty boring. The curve for the amount of stars you earn should be tied to the total amount of stars you have, not the amount of stars you earned in this run.
I'm 100% sure that the player stats are not accurate and that's really really frustrating. My TE despite having max speed runs way way slower than other players with way less speed.
This is the worst type of game to exist. It entices you to play it with its interesting features and gameplay, but its so badly designed and so frustrating and unfair that its just pure torture. If you read this comment do yourself a favor and skip this one.
