Ships 'fleeing' or 'exploding out' is a bug due to stars being placed too close together. But the author doesn't seem to be fixing his game anymore, so I guess those of us that really like this game are out of luck.
Okay, there's a cheap way to do level 24 for all you out there whining... position the first piece so the right edge is at the top of the 2nd ball. That's it. It'll fall left and take the king with it. **If it works for you, keep it alive**
Alternate solution for 19: Stack your guys so that each one is slightly to the right of the last, but still on top of the previous one. You'll create a bridge. I used a 7 guy bridge to cross the 4 guys needed to reach the green block.
I've noticed on two machines that the check for a saved game seems to happen when the game loads, not when the menu loads. That means the autosave SEEMS not to work, but if you navigate away and come back (or refresh, I would assume), the 'continue game' is lighted up.
I had an odd glitch that when a certain elevator would fire its laser, my avatar would teleport to the right edge of the floor he was on... made things kinda difficult.
Forithan: There are still some no-victory bugs. Basically, if two stars are overlapping slightly, if a fleet tries to go between them, they speed off out of the playing field and can never be gotten back. Since the 'No Victory' condition is that all stars are owned by the player and all enemy fleets are destroyed, the fleets that have zoomed off will prevent you from ever actually winning the scenario. 'Island Hopper' is a good example of planets being too close together.
Oh, and if your ships are the ones to go zooming off, then you'll never be able to get rid of them, since ships in transit are not subject to die from over-stressing the economy until they land (and these will never land).
They dont add mines until its been awhile... If two corners have two mines each, Basewar can not be won (takes a huge amount of ships to overcome a single corner with 2 overlapping mines).
OK... If you want to complain about the game, complain about it being a TERRIBLE GAME, not about it being offensive. The gameplay sucks, specials are a PITA, and the characters are unbalanced in any sense... Epic Fail.
turtlesgofuego2, no... You get a level select to go to your favorite levels. Its actually impossible to get all the trophies on your first time through.
Tip: use lvl 1 lasers. They only cost you energy to recycle and move around, so 20-30 lasers can circle your base on the last level if you keep moving them to where the enemy is.
All you building THEL's on 6 are wasting your time... just build 6 maxed missle launchers and then sit back and hit fast. That it... You're done. ITS EASY
