The more damaged the structure the less you get for recycling it, it's the way it should be.

2 tips: Use ctrl-mousescrollup to make the game viewable in firefox. On the last level of the New Hope campaign I made 4 turrets, an anti missile laser, and 2 money buildings. I upgraded all the defenses ASAP and just kept growing my funds with the money buildings until I was at about 150 funds per second. Then I destroyed my money buildings and 1 turret and put in 3 airstrips and did the first upgrade on all of them. Then I just send a continual stream of the 300 dollar fighter planes while replacing my letover 3 turrets with 2 light machine shops and a barracks to pump out motorcycles and infantry... it worked great :)
