I find it odd that the player is forced to play as a man and form a relationship with a woman who you have to protect because she can't take care of herself.
I understand that there are certain tropes and standards that gamedevs include in their games without even realizing it, but I think that it's important to at least attempt to acknowledge that your player base may be more diverse than the game allows.
From a gameplay perspective it was pretty fun, but the clouds covering the player and projectiles added an unnecessary challenge near the second half of the game.
I accidentally beat this without needing the aquarium note or finding the smaller secret compartment XD. I managed to misinterpret the combo hints and guessed it correctly before I even had seen all three. Fun game, now I'm going to beat it the right way!
Fun game, hilarious story! While the game was short, it didn't feel too short. I liked the variety of upgrades as well. I didn't mind the controls once I got used to them. The sound effects were great, they went well with the art style and really contributed to the game's overall charm!
I also really love how the game is mostly silent music-wise until the end, it makes beating the game that much rewarding. On a similar note I like the subtle music at the beginning before you start moving around.
I love exploration platformers like this! The controls feel right, and the sound effects and graphics work really well together as far as setting goes. The difficulty curve seems pretty dead on as well. Overall I really enjoy it!
Fun game! I liked the combination of shooter / physics. The setting was very silly and entertaining, and the Breaking Bad references were hilarious. One addition I would like to see is a small indicator of sorts in the middle of the screen so the player will know when the gun will flip its aiming direction without guessing (maybe on the top / bottom so it won't be too visually intrusive or inhibit gameplay too much). A bit short but overall a very enjoyable experience!
Fun and challenging! I really enjoyed having no jump, I always like it when games remove basic mechanics to encourage new strategies. Cool concept, awesome art, and extra kudos for making it in a month ;)
I really enjoyed the use of sound, very atmospheric and sandbox-y! I know it's meant to be simple and nonlinear, but it would be nice to see some kind of storyline or set of goals emerge to help replay value. Overall it was a fun experience playing and I would love to see more experimental games like this.
This game is fantastic, from the gameplay to the story. I loved the way the music and visuals completely changed with each character, it did a great job at creating different moods throughout each level. Fun and thought-provoking!
