Good gameplay, but a frustrating interface if your mouse requires a forceful click. It would be nice if there were a click-and-move option rather than exclusively hold-and-drag; by the end of the elastic levels my wrist hurt quite badly.
One of the very best casual roguelikes IMO. That said, I think the emphasis on time and speedruns is misplaced. The way different classes and builds lead to qualitatively different playstyles despite the simple mechanics is where this game really shines, and encouraging incomplete/minimal runs really takes some of the joy out of the exploration. Don't get me wrong, speedruns and minimalist runs can be really fun challenges, but I feel they would be better implemented as Nethack-style conducts than as score penalties lurking in every run.
Please, for the love of God. "Retry" button. I refuse to play with anything less than 100% stage clear... and having to replay four entire levels over and over because I accidentally WON is the _absolute worst_.
Surely, if the potion will wear off so quickly, it's best to drug the meat and leave it in your inventory. Is it not reasonable to assume that a werewolf craving flesh will eat whatever is at hand?
Symbiosis linkages definitely need to be transferable. If I have every single one of my plants supporting a single fighter, and the front line moves, I do NOT want to have to set up my entire network over again. It's forgivable in the early stages, but by the time the game gets up to a real pace it's pointlessly frustrating. If A links to B, and I link B to C, A needs to link to C as well.
I wanted to like this game, I really did. But why does it insist on my resolving "audio conflicts" before I play? Flash is perfectly capable of playing Kong game audio and youtube videos at once, I know, so surely it's not a technical issue. I appreciate that you don't want players' experiences to be messed up by multiple tracks playing at once, but oughtn't they be allowed at least to proceed after a warning? I have a slow internet connection. At any given time, I have several youtube videos open but not actually playing (and therefore incapable of being any sort of distraction); if a game tells me I have to close them all, I'm more likely to walk away from the game. Which, in fact, I did. :\ This design choice is user-obsequious, not user-friendly.
It is a technical issue, caused by a security restriction in the Flash Player. The games that use YouTube videos are just playing them, they are not analyzing the audio like this game does. You can find out more on Adobe's help site here: http://adobe.ly/qhomFP
I would love it if only there were an option to turn off the stickmen and pulses that burst whenever you hit a note; they're not terribly attractive and the unnecessary lag they cause makes the game really frustrating to play.
I /literally cannot/ get the 60 second doomsurf - two and a half minutes by my clock, with no 'close call' at the end, apparently is counted as less than sixty second. What do I do? ;-;
