The game used to be more playable when you could replay fights for more gold. At any upper levels it becomes close to impossible to raise enough money for a large army. Now that you have to wait for your income really lowers my rating. 2/5
Would be nice if we could transfer splinters in Survival mode a little quicker. In survival I switch back and forth between Wave and other stuff, the wave boosted damage plus poison is the only way to blast through the really big guys.
My mundane to extraordinary isn't working...I don't get anything for it. I have all types of items grey, white, green, blue, etc. but I get nothing for it.
Biggest problem with the game is that the monks/priests won't heal troops, they just sit there and do their piddly attacks while my front line gets decimated. I would rather they can't attack at all so they do what they're supposed to.
Nice concept, but buggy. Had a few times where the base would take damage despite nobody being anywhere near the base. Also the upgrades are pointless. Better off adding towers than upgrading.
A good way to get gold tower early is to save your cash until after wave 5 and you get your first $ bonus for 5 skill points. Then build cheap gun tower and sell. Repeat (25 times) until you get the seller achievement. You get various power ups while doing this and when it's all over you start wave 6 with 2700+ gold.
So what's the point of having the poison towers? No matter what, a fire/burn tower is way more powerful. For example, I placed a poison tower on wave 5, by wave 32 it's level 8 with poison effect of 305/s, but the fire tower I placed at wave 25 is already level 8 with burn effect of 643/s. No wonder the poison towers are a waste of time.
@mrwaterbuffalo - 4 Rouges is an awesome party for just that reason. The first level w/all Rouges is tough, but after everyone gets Hide, it's smooth sailing.
I don't like the randomness of the power up items. I'll get like three bombs on level 1 right in a row, and then won't see another one for the rest of the game...lame
So finished the game and I'm still not all that impressed. Maxed out my smithing skills early (1000) and then tried to smith a weapon like 10 times...Not one success. I get no success before it's maxed, but not one smithed item. This game is buggy but I haven't given up just yet.
I like the game, but the inconsistency is killing me. One game I get a 4-slot rapid blowgun, but nobody can get active (By lvl 60+) Most recent game tried using nobles so I could damage bonus and then no rapid blowguns w/more than 1 mod slot and no leech mods or weapons. Can't keep up at that point. I wish we could modify weapons to add mod slots even if it was really expensive or cost a bunch of AP.
