hehe, i used to play this game when it was still new, i remember i could never beat it with 5 lives remaining. I couldn't believe i got this on my first try after 5 or so years xD!

A good way of getting maxed skills before the final boss is by killing the purple knight at the caste. Once you kill him you shouldn't take the crystal (or gem i think) just kill yourself with the fire. you get to keep all the experience and you can fight him again xD!!
