Anecdotal update: yes, Firefox appears to handle things much better. Slow login the first time, but no problems after that, and chat works again. (It is more of a pain setting up cookie permissions; make sure you have Enhanced Tracking Protection turned off for kongregate.com.) Other game bugs from before the backend move are still present, but that's to be expected.

Thank you for the test any reply! Just getting this contextual info is super helpful to help us figure out a potential Chrome resolution faster, when we get a chance to put some time into it!

The game has been near-unplayable for me since the back-end server move; logins hang about half the time at "100%", and occasionally do the "revert to new game" thing. In-game, several things hang from time to time, especially (but not only) the "Verifying mission result" screen; if that happens the only fix is to reload and play the login lottery again. Chat has also been empty 100% of the time for me, specifically since that move. Yes, I've tested it on an entirely fresh browser with no extensions/adblock/etc at all; the behaviour there was exactly the same.
It appears that most people who have these issues still are playing on Chrome, and for some it was resolved by trying to play from Firefox. Could you perhaps give that a try and see if it helps?

Badge of the Day: earn 10,000 medals. Reward from combat: 10 medals. Haha, no, screw that.

@Shinnosuke00: It saves at the end of each level. However, it wipes that save at the end of the last level, so if you're going for the golden ending, don't open the last door until you've got all the coincs from that level.

Since people are pointing out bugs: both Construction Company and Workshop gain top out very low, at 264 regular or 44 B/E Disciples assigned. Is that intentional? It's a pain point for the CC especially, because the number of disciples you need to devote quickly outpaces the number you have houses for when construction speed doesn't grow...
Hey there, yes, the speed caps are intentional, though once you've unlocked higher Promotions, you won't ever have problems with housing again :)

For what it's worth I did actually get the badge awarded about a day after dropping in a support request (got it in-game last year when the first easy badge was BotD). Still not a good look since people were complaining about the other badges being broken back then too, but Kong support isn't completely nonexistent.

When you're still getting XP/prestige, it's not bad. (Defender+Greed = 10K XP in 2 min = prestige in under 2 hrs). But once you're grinding gold it's horrific: best I've managed is ~1200 in 2 min, which means it takes >2 hours to get enough (~75K) for all the accessories on ONE WEAPON. tl;dr: get the hard badge, get prestige X if you like, then give up and save your sanity.

Reminder from last time: creating your own guild counts for the badge. Yeah, it costs gems, but it's quicker and simpler.

In addition to the double-session trick MC65536 and others have mentioned: if you have a gamepad or a gamepad emulator, you can run a "local" MP match, and winning that counts for the badge. (Make sure it's Player 1, on KB/mouse controls, that wins.)

ALSO NOTE: I meant Friday's BotD, of course. Sorry, I'm an idiot today.
NOTE: Thursday's BotD has _also_ been changed, and is now one in Mob Wars. I assume this is because the admins have a quota of third-party grind games to fill.

@archerbob Buying a new weapon is separate to buying upgrades: the first new primary weapon (the shotgun) costs $1200, and you won't see the option until you have the money. You can buy shotgun upgrades before then, but those won't change your default weapon.

I love the way the achievement popups are so slow: your reward for beating X amount of obstacles is to be distracted and die to the next one. No, wait, not love. Exactly the opposite.

The RNG on level 18 could use a bit of tweaking to favour the remaining white squares, especially when there are only a few left. Otherwise, though, another lovely little puzzle game, living up to the Bonte standard.

If you're stuck on "click to regain focus", you may need to allow scripts from and/or other requests to ajax.googleapis.com. (Note to dev: third-party sources are not your friend for games development. You should keep all your assets in one place.)
Thanks for your advice I'll keep that in mind

Well, ain't this a turn-up for the books? I'm actually upvoting KLouD_KoNNeCteD for once. Games on Kongregate should never require connections to third-party sites. (uMatrix users: you'll need to allow media requests from ninjakiwi.com, or it won't start. Don't forget to rate this sort of stunt appropriately!)

A+ time: easy. Completing the level in the first place: much harder.

If your game loads to 100% and then stops: you need to enable cookies from konggames.com, not just kongregate.com. (Someone tell the admins this is why subdomains were invented...)

Loading for me required allowing third-party cookies. In Chrome this option is under Settings: click "Show advanced settings..." at the bottom of the page, scroll down to the Privacy section, click the "Content Settings" button, then make sure you have "Allow local data" set, and "Block third-party cookies" NOT set. Under Firefox, it's in Preferences, the Privacy section: you need to have "Accept cookies from sites" and "Accept third-party cookies" BOTH enabled. Privacy add-ons (Ghostery etc) and ad-blockers may interfere with this, so you might need to turn them off temporarily. (Once the cookie is set the first time, it should stay set.) You shouldn't need to enable third-party scripts, only cookies.

People going for the BotD this week: don't worry about height or combo, you want to max all the enemies first. Buy Miners, Bombers and Bouncers first. You can buy a few Gunners, but DO NOT buy Homers until you've maxed out everything else; you should only buy them when you can max them out in one shot (2200 XP). Once you max all the enemies, you'll get unlimited fuel: everything else is just a matter of time.
