I abandoned this game at level 18 because double clicking doesn't work. About one in 4 times does the required "jump" execute properly. I know what to do, have good control, have solid computer. Just the game not accepting input correctly. Double clicking causes the brick to just fall in most cases. I'm glad that others think this game is solidly done.
It appears that the game isn't using up all that much memory resources. At maximum it seems to be using about 200-300K of memory which isn't all that demanding. What seems to be the problem are the alternate screens, the ones where you change outfits and the ones where you train your cats. Opening these screens cause a huge slow down in performance. It is almost like they are being redrawn even as your cats run around.
I beat this game with very few repeats on any level, one or two was tricky but overall quite simple really. The real key is to hold ctrl+mousewheel and adjust the size of the browser so that the game is very small. This allows you to not have to move the mouse so much in order to move or shoot. The last levels are trival in that you just fly in circle around the number till you see a circle, hunt it until dead then pick up power and chase the next one. With huge lazers just follow the laser picking up power ups until all you are doing is picking up powerups. It either is super easy or super hard, restart right away if not easy.
Finished the 'A' from the last level. The secret to achieving the 'A' on the last level is to approach from the bottom, not the top as the screen change will often kill you. When approaching from the bottom do it in one smooth move, onto first lift then over to the second lift, grab A and fall to bottom just before spikes move THROUGH the lift to the other side, fall to bottom, just before you land move through lift to the other side. With practice this should become fluid. I made a mantra, "up, up, over-drop, left-drop, left" This really help me improve the amount of times that I made it to the switch and back without dying. I hope this helps.
Would like to say that this is less of a game as more of a vomit inducing stare into the abyss of unholiness for the 7% of the world that can imagine in full 3D. Motion sickness after the first 10 full spins and the thumping in and out, this crap haunts my dreams. Poorly thought out game.
The PvP system in this game isn't very fun. Don't like getting camped when trying to do quests. Game is too confusing to figure out how not to get killed by high levels on day one of playing. Love getting killed by what appears to be a mob but is actually a player who is camping newb zones for some reason.
I found level 58 very hard even though I had unlocked all the weapons. After many failed attempts at dodging, I was finally able to find a good scheme that got me into the high 180 kills reliably. Try the BFG, Slow Time, and Lightning then move to top right corner, slow time, and fire BFG to bottom left corner, hide in the huge blast of the weapon and start using lightning like crazy. When you get to the bottom, fire the BFG in the reverse diagonal and travel back the way you came. Without the slow time the fast kamakaze ships will smack into you but with lightning going you stand a much better chance of getting away clean. It took me about 10 tries with this method before I got the hang of it and eventually was able to beat the level.
I made a video for those of you who want to see how to get the "Survival Instincts Badge". Its okay quality and pretty much shows which skills to get and where to place mines and which mobs to focus on.
Rate this up if you like the video.

I played this game all the way through so it was entertaining somewhat. My main going concern is that this game is too easy. I think if you have best ship, best weapon, full upgrade you can actually beat the last level by not even moving. You would actually have to try and crash into enemies to lose.
Unfortunately, when I try to jump with both characters at least one seems not to jump. I think this is a function of my computer/keyboard since it detects too many imputs it just decides to ignore the next ones. I'm pressing d and right and then I hit w and up at the same time, four keys pressed and presto, one character doesn't jump and falls in the acid. I can't get better than a B in most stages because of input problems. Great concept, just needs some work.
Additionally, the fist scene on insane, the stars are moving in a rainbow arc from right to left and the only mechanism for avoiding them is jumping in a rainbow arch from left to right resulting death.
The problem with the first scene on "insane" is that when you stop holding left you run backwards for some reason. The caltrops are moving slower than you running backwards and you run over them.
This is enfurating as you not only have to watch out for the oncomming caltrops but also the ones you already passed.
Challenge #2 is fairly simple if you figure out how to move the bot properly. There is a directional line that indicates the front of the robot. Always turn the robot in small steps away from this axis and he wont "slow down" or lose speed. The other robots will always be turning too much and will lose speed. You can easily move in a wide circle and the bots will not be able to catch you. Takes a minute but you can down all the bots.
Challenge #4 was the hardest but it is doable. All you have to do is have the Shield Follow the dragon right from the start and move your attack bot to the bottom center. Stay out of range until he fully targets the shield bot and is in a long backward move. Veer away before he reaches the wall and wait for another opportunity. Two good long passes across the board should kill the dragon. It took me around 20 retries to finally get the feel for the AI.
