For what it's worth, the developers are actually giving information on their steam page for this game. http://steamcommunity.com/gid/103582791456220216/announcements/detail/519438455608690915
New update seems to be working fine for me. One small question --- it looks like the resting quests now have their reset time down to 1 at level 100. So is there any conceivable reason why I'd upgrade it all the way to 300? Just to get rid of useless money?
Found a tiny little bug: I play fast enough that I usually earn two chests and reset before the game catches up displaying all those multiplier banners. If I reset while the banners are still displaying, whatever quest it's displaying banners for will still be shown as active after the reset.
Like I said, it's a tiny bug and doesn't affect anything, but it's there. For what it's worth, I'd love to see the multiplier banners stop displaying after the first quest. I don't need one every single time I click +10 on a quest after that. (I've noticed the class explanation texts no longer show up after resets---I'd suggest doing the same for multipliers.)
How do the cards stack? For example, I have a Quest 1x10 and a Quest 1x2 both equipped. So does that mean it's paying out x20 or is it paying out x10+x2? Since the payout each time is randomized, it's hard to tell.
Have you thought about tying prestige to money earned rather than quests completed? That would definitely give me an incentive to bother with quests 16-21. As it is now, I have a 2x card for quest 21, but it's useless because by the time I get to quest 21 I have no need for money anymore.
I think you would still run into the same problem if money was the prestige factor with all the multipliers flying around, but we need other incentives to move higher up. The more prestige levels you do in a run you get chances at greater prestige chests with more drops in them? Higher prestige from higher levels? And I want to put a chance for loot drops into boss fights! It's definitely not all there yet.
Just FYI, the way I play, I always fully upgrade each quest before I start the next one. (Since I got a 10x card for quest one, I can max out my adventurers, fighters, mages, and clerics before I even bother to start quest 2!!) Anyway, that means that for me, anything past quest 15 is still useless. I've always got my guildians completely maxed before I finish upgrading quest 15. Since it only takes me about 20 minutes now to get to that point, then I just reset (usually have 2 chests by then) and start over.
Got everything maxed out again including thieves. How soon do you think the next update will come? I'm wondering if I can hit 1 quintillion before then. I need to know if the abbreviation goes from "aa" to "bb".
We're looking good for next week, honestly! By next Thursday you should be able to start collecting and equipping cards (just gold boosts for launch, though).
Yup. It seems to be working. With everything maxed out (all guildians at 300/80) and all quests at 110, it seems to earn prestige fastest by bulldozing quests 13-21. That way I have a constant stream of guildians slashing their way through the chain without any breaks or unused guildians. The prestige bar is moving visibly faster. Gotta collect all those chests!
The prestige counter is based on how many quests my guildians complete, yes? So it seems to me that the best way to earn prestige once I've maxed everything out is to bulldoze the bigger quests (maybe 6-21!) so my guildians are just zipping around as fast as they can. I have no further need of money. I'm just going to collect chests until the next update.
Excellent! Okay we should have a fix for that that would solve the issue for everyone with the problem without us having manually adjust user accounts. Hopefully we can have it live tomorrow!
Sorry to clog the comments with another bug report. I'm still stuck on the hippo screen, and have been since Tuesday morning. :( FWIW, I was maxed out on everything, had unlocked all the prestige levels, and was just waiting for loot drops. I know the devs had said that the hippo screen was sticking for players who'd already made some progress. That's me still.
So it looks like some people have ended up with bad prestige chests. I've adjusted your account manually to remove the chests and give you proper ones. If you can try to boot up again and see if it works and let me know that would be great! If it works for you we might be able to do a fix that will work for everyone with this issue!
I've unlocked all the Prestige stages, and maxed everything out again. Now I'm just waiting around, collecting more prestige chests until the non-gold prestige awards are updated. (I wonder if I'll hit 1 quadrillion before then. I'm already at 628T.)
I've just reset for the 5th time. And it seems quest 3 is the only one that can upgrade to 100. The rest are still at 90. Is this an error or intentional? If I can't upgrade quest 16 beyond 90, I'll never get that recharge time down low enough for it to be worthwhile.
The update says it removed the tavern, but mine is still there and functioning. I've reloaded the page a few times and it's still there. Doesn't bother me, though. I actually like the tavern.
I've got 4.03M right now. The fifteenth quest only costs 3.7M at most. But it won't let me buy it. What gives? The other 14 quests are filled in already.
Their additive so an x10 and x2 would be x12!
