HEY ANTIC! I don't want to play hundreds of games to buy cards. I WANT TO SPEND MONEY! I just don't want to pay 10 times more than the equivalent Shadow Era booster and more than twice the cost of the equivalent MtG real-world booster.
@JimboForTheWin What's untrue? According to @dylan118247, 20 wins = 5000 gold. 5000 gold buys you 1 gold pack of 6 cards. If you have a .666 winning percentage, that's 30 games for 6 cards. That's not a lot of work?
To those of you who responded to my concern about prices, after completing the campaign on level 1, I've yet to see a free Eve card as a reward, and I have enough gold for two gold packs. In other words, yes you can play for free, but you cannot play PvP competitively without spending an absurd amount of time earning gold or spending cash.
Look... this is a great game! But getting downvoted because I raise a legitimate concern (as reflected by other up votes) about the card prices being 10 times greater than Shadow Era? I must say... that reflects poorly on the community.
I don't want to have to earn all the cards through single player. I'd prefer to play multiplayer. For comparison though, in Shadow Era, which also offers free cards by playing a campaign, a 15 card booster pack is $1 in credits. Compare that to a 6 card-booster in Kingdoms for $3.90 in credits. That's nearly 10 times the cost per card!
