Bug: If a tip comes up that pauses the game, enemies (and possibly you as well?) will take damage over time from being poisoned, even though the action is paused.

Chain; Base Damage: 10-20; Accuracy: ~ (never grazes); Crit: 5; Rate 3.75/s; Projectiles: 1; Notes: A very short ranged beam that auto-targets nearby enemies, hitting all within range.; Base DPS: 56.25; My Rating: C; My Comments: Very low damage and very short range, although it does hit everything nearby without fail. More of a novelty than anything else, as the Wave will usually do the same but better.
Wave; Base Damage: 25-35; Accuracy: 80; Crit: 10; Rate 6/s; Projectiles: 1; Notes: Projectiles strike (almost) everything in their path, piercing through walls and enemies in a wide beam (~1/4 the screen height).; Base DPS: 180; My Rating: A; My Comments: Good for everything except bosses without minions. While the damage is unexceptional, the Wave hits everything in its path with long range, a wide beam, and wall-piercing. The only better weapons are the Laser and Machgun for single-target bosses with no minions where you don't need to dodge much, and the Sawmine for tough enemies you can get close to (or are behind you).
Charge; Base Damage: 30-215; Accuracy: 85; Crit: 5; Rate 0.6/s (~7.5/s rapid fire); Projectiles: 1; Notes: Charges a projectile in front of your ship for up to 1.67s, releasing when fully charged or the charging projectile contacts an enemy, dealing damage proportional to the charge time. Can be used rapid fire by mashing the fire button. A fully charged projectile is about 1/4 the height of the screen and passes through terrain, walls, and enemies, damaging everything in its path.; Base DPS: 129 (~225 rapid fire); My Rating: D; My Comments: Slow to charge, low damage, and easy to disrupt.
Sawmines; Base Damage: 55-135; Accuracy: 50; Crit: 15; Rate 2.3/s; Projectiles: 1; Notes: Fires a short ranged, persistent sawblade. The blade travels forwards a short distance (~1/2 the screen), then turns around and flies off directly behind you. Ignores terrain and can fire through walls. Strikes all enemies in its path. Can hit enemies multiple times (2 times if they are in front of you, 3-4 times if they are exactly at the end of the Sawmine's range).; Base DPS: 218.5; My Rating: A; My Comments: Ignores terrain, strikes enemies behind you, and deals massive damage. The short forwards range is this weapon's only Achilles' Heel, and even that's not much of a problem. Would be strictly better than the Crush were it not for the slightly narrower projectiles.

Can be curved around small corners by moving your ship up or down after firing.; Base DPS: 400; My Rating: A; My Comments: Strictly better than the Machgun. Very hard to miss with, although the narrow beam does occasionally require some precision. Crush; Base Damage: 50-70; Accuracy: 75; Crit: 10; Rate 3/s; Projectiles: 1; Notes: Fires a short ranged missile that explodes after a short distance or upon hitting something, dealing damage in a medium area. No explosion if it leaves the screen before detonating.; Base DPS: 180; My Rating: B; My Comments: Your first true area weapon. Useful early on, but is outclassed by later weapons.
Because I didn't see this listed anywhere, here's the statistics on all of the weapons available in the game. Everything is culled from the numbers given in game and my own experiences on a single Normal playthrough. Weapon Upgrades For each level of a weapon above 1st, it deals an additional 5% of its base damage. No other statistics change. Primary Weapons Machgun Base Damage: 45-55 Accuracy: 85 Crit: 5 Rate 7.5/s Projectiles: 1 Notes: Standard machinegun-type weapon. Fires small projectiles in a straight line. Base DPS: 375 My Rating: B My Comments: The basic weapon you begin with. Spread Base Damage: 30-50/projectile Accuracy: 75 Crit: 10 Rate 1.875/s Projectiles: 4 Notes: Simple spread weapon. Fires 4 projectiles in a spread in front of you. Hard to aim. Low damage. Base DPS: 75/projectile (300 total) My Rating: C My Comments: Your first weapon that hits enemies above you on the horizontal plane. Damage is pitiful, but can be useful early on hit enemies with cover.
