Nice low impact game. fun enough to play once, probably wouldn't come back to it but I'm not a fan of this style of game much. Still, I managed to beat it and get 100% cheevos, so it didn't frustrate me at all like this genre normally does. 3/5, solid and worth playing. Makes a great BotD game, certainly.
The sheer amount of grinding required to get your ducks able to compete in the latest races is absurd. I want to like this game, but it got so tedious that I just can't continue playing. 1/5, making the game so boring and repetitive that I cannot bring myself to get past the third area is telling.
Ending was sadly all kinds of predictable, otherwise was an okay object hunt game. Didn't really deliver on being scary, "adult" or really engrossing, but was fun enough to play once at least. Certainly don't begrudge this being the BotD like I have some games before.
Took me a bit to figure things out in the beginning, but once it got rolling everything progressed smoothly. Generally well done, 4/5 I think. Would really like to see more adventure games use that style of "upgrade this one iconic tool with multiple settings" and have it play a major role like the duster in this.
It's probably saying something that I came here for the Badge of the Day and didn't remember I already had it. In fact, I didn't remember the game even existed. Unfortunate.
No real replayability, but that's literally the only flaw I can think of in this game. Improved on the first in every way. "Relaxing" isn't a word I associate with platformers as a rule, but W&S2 is exactly that, a nice easy going and relaxing platformer to spend a couple hours on. Good stuff, 4/5.
Overall excellent game. Good platforming action without needing many "pixel perfect" jumps, rewards exploration, extremely helpful in-game menu screen to keep track of things, and amusing humor. This is better then many platformers I've paid full price for on a system, largely due to being very user friendly, which is something I think too many games overlook. I don't hand out 5s often, but this gets one.
Decent but nothing special. Can't say I'm a fan of the music selection, either. 2/5 since I feel absolutely no motivation to play more after getting the easy badge.
Controls are terrible, stuck keys become a very serious problem in the boss fight. Vaguely amusing premise and dino teleport was funny, but that's basically the entirety of the game's value, as playing it simply was not fun. 1/5
Simple, fun, good way to waste an hour or so in the morning but nothing I'd ever see myself coming back to. Game doesn't do anything wrong, but doesn't really do anything amazing either. 3/5
most of the game was fun. Two major issues though. One, sometimes hard to find the darklings during the short period of time you get after activating a rune to blast them. The fact that you can't re-get the aura ever makes this one aspect a frantic timed bit that you can't retry if you fail, compared to the rest of the game being about taking your time to explore and trying to find everything. And two, the final boss is immensely frustrating. Hitbox is way too large, making the monster straight up impossible to dodge if you happen to be near the wall trying to find that last fly when it decides to pop out. Other then those issues, fairly good platformer. 3/5.
The mute button not turning off sound effects is a serious problem I have with the game. Also the mute button being half hidden by the time bar. Turning music and sound effects off needs to be an option on the start screen.
Without J2K and a USB controller, there's no way I could play this game, since the platforming gets really rough. However, I have these things so the game is fantastic instead of frustrating. Hope to see another action style game from you in the future, maybe with Lance or Anna playable. Also, NoLegs is possibly the most adorable game mascot ever.
Very nice overall. Vast improvement over the last one, which had me giving up in frustration on the final map. One nit to pick however: it still irks me that enemy ranged attackers, ESPECIALLY magic users, can attack without actually moving onto the screen. Little is more irritating then not being able to figure out where those fire attacks are coming from because the succubus is hanging out offscreen behind the enemy castle while she casts. -_-
Fix that one issue and it'd be a 5/5 game.
