While a decent game, it has more then enough flaws to make even the most hardcore gamers refuse to touch it. The most noticeable of these flaws, as I am sure you have all noticed, is the speed of the overall game. Simply to complete the tutorial takes a person 5-10 minutes assuming they have never played the game before, and are actually paying attention. But it does not stop at the tutorial, some of the enemy units take such a long time to walk that it takes a player over ten minutes to complete a map, or more. And keep in mind I have only made it to the second level by the time I am writing this. The lack of a "Fast forward" button is indeed a crippling flaw for a game that would otherwise be incredible. While retaining decent graphics and sound, the overall speed, the ridiculous speed of the units, and the lack of a fast forward button makes this game sit snugly at 3 out of 5 stars...
This is one of the most beautiful games of all time. I am honored to have...
Oh god give me something with swords and dragons or something, jesus... 5 Stars... Still a good game... But... O mah lord...
This is one of the most beautiful games that has ever been uploaded to Kongregate. It is not "Beautiful" in the sense of physical beauty. Nor is it "Beautiful" because of it's controls, music (Even though it is quite spectacular) or its simplicity. It is beautiful because it has MEANING. Something far too many things in this world seem to be lacking... 5 stars...
Should you happen to wish for the game to be translated into Japanese I may be able to assist you. Besides my little volunteering... Excellent game, I just find it horribly sad... 4/5 stars simply because I haven't seen the next chapter and I'm interested on doing a whole play-through eventually. Nicely done.
Thanks so much! Please email me at daniel@bigcowstudios so I'll have your email on record should I need help with Japanese translation :) Thank you for the kind feedback!
Excellent. A comedic, entertaining, somewhat challenging game with good theme, atmosphere, and concept. With great video and audio, interesting weapons, and perfectly oriented physics used in the game, I can't help but rate this with a full 5 stars! Also, it was a piece of cake for me to get all the badges, and I usually never accomplish such a thing on a game, so that tells me it's a bit too easy in certain aspects. I don't think I'll ever come back to this game simply because there is no reason to do so. I strongly recommend increasing the possible aspects of the game even further. New levels, more storyline, anything really. Otherwise, excellent game, and definitely one of my favorites. Again, 5 stars.
My God, I walked to the right when I tried to restart as Dirk said and I didn't understand until now. The game is based off the broken and crazed heart of a young woman who lost her lover. It is a game of hallucinations and calamity, bringing the two together, or ripping them apart depending on the actions of the player. I fully see the meaning of the game now, and I deeply connect with it philosophically and psychologically. Due to poor control response and/or gameplay, I feel as though I want to rate this game 4 stars... But thanks to a previous commenter, I realize my settings were to blame XD Thanks to Magicallllama, I can happily rate this game with a full 5 stars.
I feel as though I have grossly failed to play this game to the fullest. I completed it, though it was quite honestly more confusing than insightful. I couldn't seem to interact for the majority of the game, and I had a terrible time trying to evolve or destroy objects in the game. Thankfully, my touch screen happened to work, and about halfway through the game I was able to see what was being said. Unfortunately, I hadn't recognized that "Dirk" had died until the very end... I don't feel fully capable of rating this game, so I will simply replay it at a later date.
While the tutorial lagged my computer like one wouldn't believe in regards to my thousand-dollar computer... The rest of this game was incredibly enjoyable, the music was entertaining, the art and control that this game expresses allows the player to truly lose all stress and all anxieties. For that, developer, I thank you. 5 stars.
A beautifully interactive and touching story. With some cliché control sequences, and the dreary, dark music and artwork, I expected this game to be yet another heartbreak game where one of the lovers dies. Incredibly, the game made a plot twist ending simply by being just a regular love story. With ups and downs, confusion, frustration, and a wonderful mix of complexity and simplicity, I found this game to be a perfect allegory for what love truly is. Unbelievably beautiful. 5 Stars.
Incredibly artistic game with beautiful gameplay, music, controls, and storyline. I enjoyed myself to the fullest extent. The signs, the holes, the monsters, the runestones, the chests and keys and mushrooms... It's all beyond the point of magical, it is quite simply mystifying. The flying was wonderful, and I loved the end scene artwork. The near static-like world with its lines and vibrations made the game a bit dizzying, but overall I feel as though it contributed to the atmosphere of the game. I loved the boss, and every hidden little alcove that I'm sure I didn't find. Beyond belief, this is one of my favorite games on Kongregate, and I happily rate it with a full 5 stars!
Quite an interesting and entertaining game! With epic music, decent graphics (And I am a total pixel-game lover, so bonus points there) and a wide variety of aspects that make this game definitely one of my all-time favorites (Thus far) on Kongregate! More than deserving of 5 stars!
Quite a challenging and intellectually stimulating game. Good concept, long and enjoyable gameplay, though somewhat of a "Rage" theme to it because it happens to be so hard to get all the blocks to stay on the screen. I look forward to playing this for a long time to come, and will also look forward to buying a new laptop... RIP acer 2015... 5 Stars...
I enjoyed this game very much! With brilliant plot, character design and concept, this game is a true gem (Especially because it was essentially created by one person)! I must say that the whole atmosphere and theme of the game fit the "Thriller" description, and all of the story intrigued me! I look forward to seeing the sequel to this brilliant game! 5 Stars!
Cosmetically brilliant in every sense, this is truly a masterpiece of a game and deserves no less than 5 stars! With excellent graphics, hilarious plotline, difficult challenges, and superb music and animations, this game is by far one of the greatest games on Kongregate! 5 Stars!
I am trying to be a game reviewer and have thus gotten into the habit of commenting upon every game I play, or making a mental note to do so later on... This one is raw, unedited, and packs my full emotional spectrum into each and every word. The mixture of the main character's love and affection for the wife he lost, and the reality of his mental illness leading to her death and his eternal misery. Truly sad, and yet strangely beautiful. The challenging aspects of the game were enjoyable, the artistry and music tied it all together beautifully, so that every single shadow seemed to truly come alive, not in the animated sense, but in the idea that each one was a life, a possibility, a soul...
I replayed it, placed the main character with his wife on the first level they met, and exited the game without moving on to the next level. At least with that mental image I can move on knowing that they truly loved one another...
As a wannabe game reviewer, I gotta say I rate this game highly, but I personally didn't enjoy it. Now before ya go shooting down this comment with machine guns and beating me over the head with tennis rackets, please allow me to explain. The game basically features you as a crazed old man, killing wild animals maliciously because he wants to grow mushrooms... Unless this guy is friends with a Butcher and a Taxidermist, I really don't see the point of killing all the animals... Just grow the mushrooms in a little container in your yard, don't go out killing everything... I suppose I'm just being a bit melodramatic, and yes I realize it's just a game, but I couldn't really enjoy it, and that's really all that mattered to me as a gamer. However, due to well-done graphics, a relatively comedic theme, and a mix of good audio and challenges that actually posed a challenge, I still have to give the game at least 4 stars.
