Pausing the game pauses the timers but still gives you the ability to use skills.
It's also a great way to really examine the requirements for a Nexus.
In Endless mode, it's the same build order but you can throw in a few skill upgrades. Delay, Cancel and Tetonic Shift are invaluable in preventing devastating losses from Major Drifts.
You should have most, if not all upgrades before you really start investing in Nexus(s).
Pausing also helps in figuring out which mountain offers the most diverse landscapes, so choose wisely.
After every single disaster in Endless, you should click and check to see what is at risk. If you've a surplus in all your resources, it's better to just take the blow and simply re-upgrade than move stuff around, or waste a cancel. A Delay softens the blow to what you've need to spend on those 1 or 2 farms you gotta re-upgrade.
An easier hard badge for sure but I hope this helps nevertheless.
Some badge tips... (1) Build order for Time Attack should be: Town, Saw, Farm, Town, Saw, Farm, Town upgrade, Farm x2 upgrade, Saw upgrade, Town upgrade, Saw upgrade, Temple, Mnt. Shrine, Water Shrine, Temple Upgrade, Mnt. Shrine upgrade, Water Shrine upgrade, Factory, Factory upgrade, Everything upgraded to Age 3, build school, upgrade school, upgrade everything to age 4. Hope you're not like, well durr, that's obvious.
The game started feeling like MoneySeize near the end. Just keep doing it over and over again till you get the pattern down. Not much advice I can give you till past 200 miles. I’d restart if you you get hurt at any point a long the way till then. The first UFO you’ll have to jump over and the second, don't do anything. You’ll have to keep two wings (flights) for the final 25 miles because it’s just a huge swamp that needs to be flown over. Shortly before that, you’ll end up running through your final cave, and it’s topped with a van so I honestly just flew right by it… and then for when you reach the giant swamp, stay low for the first two waves of UFO’s (they come at you all at once, making a wall) and then go high, and then just avoid the crazy mess that they come at you. Remember, you can fly DOWN by using the S or down ARROW KEY. Hope that helps!
TIPS FOR HARD BADGE: 1. Animals do not have any differences, neither do hats 2. Gems do not give more points, only happiness 3. You should be 240-250k or more by the END of Zone Six 4. Points are accumulated based on distance and multiplier, not speed- always have x5! 5. Zone Nine is the deal breaker- you should definitely go in to it with the highest multiplier, because it takes a lot to keep your multiplier during 9&10. 6. Don't go crazy with your gliding- it slows you down, and thus wastes Happiness. I found that going with the flow, or rather, rolling down whichever hill you happen to land on was best. You only need to glide a few pixels, at most to ensure you land on the hill properly. [+] to help ensure others of this badge! :) Thanks!
Another glitch that just occurred. When I go into another room my mana bar will suddenly be depleted without any use of magic. Amongst all the fighting, picking up a mana potion will seemingly appear to fully heal your mana, but remain empty and inevitably kill you.
Yeah, Kintogames- The game is crashing on any floor that ends with a ghost. After she heals you, and saves the game, she teleports away only to leave you behind... invisible. You can see that you're still there as the pentagram is still visible, spinning.
Those damn Fiends. They lure you into a false sense of security by letting you slaughter them by the hundreds with no resistance, and then, BAMBAMBAMBAMBAM game over.
