I've noticed a pattern where the AI walking around thinking for a while means it's going to pull some BS trick shot that knocks your dude off the planet.
The system I think is not inherently intuitive. You would expect the particles to explode on impact, but instead they have to stay touching for a long enough time. Overall, though, it's quite entertaining.
On a more constructive note, having buttons to gather specific resources would be nice. That way, I can put my survivors near the resource gathering areas and keep the ammo near my towers.
There really needs to be ways to bait zombies. Zombies never seem to chase my survivors into range of my sniper towers, but if a survivor goes out the zombie chases. I think the zombies are smarter than the survivors.
I've been noticing a problem where if even if I tap a direction the next creature in line will still move in a direction I don't want it to. Perhaps you should implement a small freeze in controls after each input or something.
