The games in enjoyment when players reach a point in a quest where they have to fight with others, so the player goes grinding or does something else. Kind of a joy-killer when I have to go grinding to beat up some 5 guys, who'll still kick my ass until I've done enough damage.
The music is gorgeous and well placed with an environment that breaths "classic horror", as it was aimed to be. I don't read much, but I do like to and Poe's work are my favorites, this game had so my similar elements as to Poe's writing. It was also good to see a change in horror games, at least from my view. The way I had to get through the game wasn't too difficult, I did get desperate but I just clicked on everything if I did, which almost always solved the problem. A very well done game, heading over to keep playing it.
"Reputation: the most evil mage in history!
Rank: Number 1 at his time.
Winner of the apprentice contest, became the leader of his clan, became the great mage.
Great mage Wilson--also known as 'SATAN'."
Oh you guys, your making me blush. Now go turn on your own people. :P
Who rides on a three train carts with windows that let bullets phase through yet can be destroyed by zombies? Did I mention that the three train carts move all by themselves... That guy has no friends, no wonder he's doing this alone.
I found a rather odd bug and a it is a minor hindrance, I have one misery card in my deck and I can place another but it does not let me place a duplicate, the duplication of my cards go as far as a pair then no more and I have room for the card in my deck. So I tried to remove the current misery card I have and then place one back in and place the other in as well, I lose connection after I put the double in. I have all the requirements for double misery cards, this is a bug and it is annoying.
3/4, I will say what everyone else has been saying, too luck dependent. The grid is fairly small and the enemies have more then plenty of defenses. In one battle I managed to defeat 2 out of 3 enemies quickly and at the end lost because of low health, I retried the same battle and ended up defeating 1 out of 3 enemies because I never got any good enough combinations. This game forces me to be balanced when it comes to my attributes, weapon and gear bonuses are the only things that out balance my attributes.
"Also if I had tentacles and a captured mermaid I'd have better have things to de then eating her" I had to quote that since... well I understand it. Now who doesn't?
My previous comment was mentally retarded. I managed to kill around 29 black mages in the battle between the white robes and the black robes :D. Fame: Myth 274 Rep: God 219 Position: WHITE MAGE Book of Mages Ranking: 75 (never tried much). This game made me feel like I really accomplished some thing when it all ended(especially since I killed 29 mages in a row). 5/5 Great Game! I'll check out "The Chaotic Times" or play more.
@thingmann287 Not really Elder Scrolls: Oblivion, Fallout New Vegas does kinda fit. And Dead Island, first game it reminded me of.
The "G" to save companions does not work and or show, well there goes Kelly and Frank- death by zombie horde through the damn roof. It really badly needs to be fixed. Other than a it freezing a few times and leaving me defenseless, because Kelly and Frank are dead, or maybe it's just me? 4/5 Needs work but still enjoyable.
I read some of the high rated comments, I don't think it's that difficult herding the butterflies and to be frank it was an enjoyable end. I killed myself using the lava, I would die like that in a dark bound dungeon with living and inanimate things killing me and then reviving at a set point each time. I don't know the other ending, but I don't think it's worth finding out both endings, I have a sense of accomplishment just by the suicide ending.
The first thing I thought when i read this was, note I was half asleep, "Flasher-Diver... Flasher?! sweet" Just though I'd share that with people.
This game is well made, it's slow at the beginning but once you get better equipment I started going deeper and deeper. That nightmare at the beginning of the game scarred me. Those damn huge fish scare me, especially since they're thick lines for a body and thin lines on both sides as whatever those things are. But it is funny how they can hurt themselves, I use it as a way to get fish without using the harpoon or the melee bolt. But it could use objectives to, maybe, progress through the story, if there is a story, but no rewards to the objectives other than information of the story. I think this was well though out, that or I just like it 5/5
Update once again! I am quite the quick one too quick, I do comments when playing much more fun. Automatic shooting still would be much appreciated if you would put it in.
This is an update of my privies comment. Automatic shooting would be much appreciated since the cannons shoot in a straight line, you'd have to rearrange you're cannons if they're too high and where you need to hit the enemy too low. For automatic shooting!
