Greek Statue needs to be remade. Stacking # of artifacts has diminishing returns, but Enhancement levels have increasing returns; it may not be a problem for player progression right NOW, but at a high enough Enhancement level and with enough Greek Statues, cost reduction can reach >=100%, unless it has a hard cap somewhere in the code.
I like the story, but there's some pretty severe balance issues. For starters, after you unlock the Stock Exchange scrap, gold, and minerals all become valueless, as do any related upgrades. (weapon, armor, accessory, anarchists, etc etc etc)
Almost instantly the best resource path is to spend remaining scrap on boosting the base crystal production a little bit, then converting all your crystals to garnets with the stock exchange and going to the DoD and buying Corporations to drive up your crystal %. Because it's a direct modification of your current %, (aka cumulative) once you reach around 100% crystal chance there's no use for scraps to increase it, just continue the cycle of crystal -> garnet -> corporation. Even garnet % is about 1/50 the value in comparison, due to the stock exchange. Something needs to drastically change in the game mechanics for any other upgrade (including the oft-discussed organization members) to be of any use.
Rather fun having the various permutations, but my big gripe about this game is that EVERY boss has a dash attack. It would make sense if one or two heads or weapons had a quick dash to complement their attacks, but having literally every boss cycle across the field 4-5 times in a row just artificially lengthens the game time by forcing you to spend ~30-40% of each fight incapable of shooting the boss.
TOTALLY agree and we basically took your input and a lot of other input into the sequel to this web game on Steam Greenlight at the moment. Check it out for links on the Boss101.com site or the links on the web game's home screen!
I like it, but there's frame lags every couple seconds on the larger stages (Hell) and that's completely unacceptable for a game that requires literally millisecond reactions.
This game is quite fun, but the gems page in particular is very buggy; occasionally it will bug out and freeze at the loading page for gems, forcing you to refresh and lose data.
