I like this game. It's got sort of a cutesy feeling going on, but still has some challenge. That said, Bombs should be on W and Helicoptertongue on S. Just too hard to reach.
The fact that the power of the shot has a variance of only 20 makes putting and sinking extremely difficult. Plus, actually getting the ball into the hole relies too much on the game's already unrealistic physics. There should be a sort of "vacuum" that pulls shots in.
The biggest problem I have with this game is that all of your citizens pretty much run around randomly. Even when you're trying to colonize or go to a waypoint, they keep on randomly running around. More directed movement would considerably expedite the time it takes to complete a level.
Overall a pretty decent game, though I've found that it's quite easy for your opponent (who apparently has fully upgraded everything at the beginning) to send large rushes - this is alright, but it forces you to stall with peasants, wasting tons of an already highly demanded resource. Maybe bump up the amount of food you generate from farms?
Apparently, ice traps still freeze even while they're disabled. Other than that, great game! I liked this one probably the most out of the Nerdook games.
I have a couple of suggestions:
1) The mini games should ALL be decided based on distance. When I'm climbing and climb several flights of stairs, I should receive a bonus.
2) The climbing values are a bit borked. Having 2000 score should not give you the same amount of points in climbing as when you have 500 score.
3) Energy does not play enough of a role in this game. Maybe if you use the same duck in the tournament, simply set his energy level to the race of the previous one, and then don't decrease his stats.
I've been following LowManji's tips on skills for each character. I've found that for the Librarian, however, it is far better to max Cleansing first. 35+ damage a hit for 4 hits is too good to pass up.
A ridiculously simple storyline? Check. Decent graphics? Check. Enough upgrades to make you tear your hair out from the grind? Check. Awkward gameplay? Check. Must be another Nerdook game!
This game is a pretty good game, but I feel it would be bettered by a map of which track you're on, possibly on the pause screen. In addition, a more comprehensive explanation of what to do on the alien boss would be appreciated. I found myself wasting continues until I read DarthJerak's comment on driving in the incoming lane.
