This game would be GREATLY helped by a "goal" system, where you are told a handful of potential results and have to figure out the recipe. As is, I have no idea why this game has such a high rating.
This game might have been fun if the controls had worked for me. Most of the time, my players just ran up and to the right no matter what I tried to do, and when trying to chase down an opponent, any player I selected would just run away. Still managed to get the badges somehow, but I would have tossed this even quicker if I didn't want a free Xbox so bad. 1/5.
4/5. Nice little demo, and I'll play Arena now that real people could pose an actual challenge. Extra point because now I finally have CC. Tremble, Kongai community.
3/5. A nice diversion with a couple head-scratchers mixed in. On one hand it doesn't expand beyond cause/effect puzzles, but on the other hand it never tries to be something that it isn't. Cute art direction choices with the sunglasses, etc. Never understood what the plungers were supposedly doing to the balls.
3/5. Decent game with good mechanics (paying for transport is a nice innovation), but I already own Advance Wars, and this has a clunky interface and yawn-inducing difficulty in comparison.
5/5. I felt so dirty getting as addicted as I did, but it just felt so right. I just HAD to beat it, and it made me late for work. Particularly excellent power creep, by the way.
Excellent game; just complicated enough to make you care, yet simple enough to beat in one sitting. I did a good amount of gleeful laughing at the destruction I wrought, bringing back shades of Boom Blox. 5/5
