Actually very nice game. Good balance, good progression, nice thematic. Potential to evolve, but currently very very nice. The build approach gives a bit a RPG flavor, and gives this game something unique.
can we please get the unlock all mastery button back ? it's a showstopper currently. And increase progress so that we have incentive to do long run for SP gain. 1 point reset is getting old fast...
seems the ki per second is bugged after 10th boss. It's stuck on the monster value after the boss is killed, and it is not adjusted after you go to zones after the first quadrant. Online kill works, but offline is stuck to a value that never update. Same with chest reward and sleep, they don't progress beyond boss 10.
the new artifacts should not be able to be revitalized for 200 gems right in the list of skills. It was bad enough to revive heroes by mistake for 10+ gems, but 200 gems ? omg, and honestly, it seem it's a deliberate move for people to miss click this. NOT COOL
I have all achievement except the one that ask to have all others -_- is this a known bug ? How can I enforce it? I would love to get the hearloom to start a new char :(
Please put an option that remove using gems to revive players. At first it looks too much like we spend money rather than gems, and also even when you are aware, sometime you click on it by mistake and there is no confirmation button. Really annoying feature for an otherwise quite cool game.
really really nice update ! Love the 2 new raids and the new equipment, the new GUI (buff, debuff). Great job ! Hope when you will kick in a revival in kong (1.0 ?) we will be able to keep our stuff by transferring the save file ! Keep up the great job (one of my favorite game in kong, even if slow to update, there's a lot of depth each time !)
Thanks a lot for the nice words! When we get 1.0, we will rerelease the game here on Kong with a different name, because a lot of stuff will change in a fundamental way and we want to keep the old version of the game up for people to play in case they don't like the changes. This should expose a lot of new people to the game as well as older players who haven't played in a long time.
Savegames won't transfer though, a lot of the changes will be just too fundamental in order to convert them properly. For example: Soft resets will be completely different, most of the items that are in the game now will either not exist at all or be completely different, stuff like that. In return starting from new will be really worth it.
The rerelease is still a couple of months away. First we want to implement a proper crafting system and expand the base building mechanics. After that we will go on a small "hiatus" where we hide in our basements and code away at the rerelease version of the game.
Funny enough, I did not see that mentioned in reddit (need to check kong forum to see if it's written). If you equip the swiftness skill book (add movement speed buff to your raider), all your raider get stuck in place. Don't use that skill book if you are affected by that bug. You can fix the stuck in place by just making sure no raider have that skill book in their inventory
Is it the same author that is releasing Plague Inc: Evolved on Steam ? if not someone is reaping you off your ideas. Even Madagascar there is the problem lol
Game crashed, corrupted the cookie, all progress lost. Can't import my save export back in since the ability was removed. I recommend to stay away from the game if you don't want to experience the same thing. From 5 star to 1 star...
@zeromessiah I have the exact same glitch. No use to reset, it will come back eventually. I don't know what triggers it. Do you play with Internet Explorer ?
My guies are not moving any more, they are frozen in place (animating up and down a bit). I can't go to raid because of this. Idle farming works, but only on unlocked zones. Needless to say, quite a critical bug... Is there something to fix this ? I don't want to restart :(
War is divided in 8 or 9 years of combat, and 8 or 9 years of resting. If all you fighter dies, combat ends and don't continue until the last year. You only send a fixed number of soldier for the total years. Which is equal to the soldier count from your barracks. After playing a while, you will see that it is not possible to cope with the number of soldier you need to sustain the casualty to live 8 rounds. It will be all about sending enough soldier to kill to win one land in one year, and wait 8 year until you can conquer one more land. You want to send as little weapons as possible (that's the bottleneck at high level), and not throw your population into inbalance by sending too many soldier: this is not a problem at high level, you will never have barracks high level enough to send more than 0,1% of your men to fight... So you just send enough attack power to kill exactly the number of defense soldier to win in 1 year.
So completing my second run, the game is still pretty much pet shop boys ("go west" :p). I have more than 4000 farms, and pretty much all research I can afford at my level, and still my home food generation is contributing for 0% of y total generation (which is currently 1.7 quintillion).
But before going deep in west, you need to prepare. The game is all about setting up as much army as you can, by farming East first, for mega cash, and ramp up both your Weapon Facilities and Research facilities. Both need Tooling to be build, and tooling is used by the population. If you go too far west, you won't be able to build enough tool factory to make up for the demand. And since it's food generated by spoil of war, you can't reduce it. Once you are confident you build up enough research and weapon, you can go west like crazy and let the game run idle a while when you are at your roadblock. I again manage to multiply my genes by x10 00 (from 12 million to hundreds of billions)
Using 8000 genes, I managed to conquer West 115 (food, 20 trillion), which gives me now about 40 trillion food. Now I am at a road block because I can't produce enough Tools and Car to catch up to buy more Research and Weapon facilities, to cope with the cost of research and weapons for war. As soon as you conquer too much west, you can't even kill your population enough (the west food is constant, can't be reduced and instability doesn't kill enough) to get some tools / cars. So you need to prepare as much as possible high level of research and weapon facility, and then throw all you can to the west, capitalize genes and ascend when hitting the road block. The first run might be harder now though ( I manage 8000 genes, with 4000 thanks to the pre-nerf condition). I will see if the diminishing returns hit hard or if I can continue to multiply my amount of genes by more than x100 000 per ascend (8000 -> 11 million)
So finish my first run, 8000 genes piled up (about 5 billion population)
On the second run, I am now at 11 million genes pile up.
Both time, even with the nerf to the west population, it's still all about conquering far West contries. I have a population of 11 trillion inhabitant, most of which are feed by West countries. I am guessing the people who started to play pre-nerf with the same technique as I used, must be in the decadecillion genes (seeing that when the nerf hit, I got my population from 500 billion to 4 billion...). Whatever nerf will be thrown at them will never overcome the advantage build up from that time....
I will try to ascend, but I am worried the patch really shifted heavily the game from "I need to conquer to speed up" to "I need to farm science to get enough bonus to get enough population to grow genes". Maybe if you have already a good pool of genes, you can still have good growth in reasonable time. For new people, it might be problematic (also currently ignore West fully). War needs loads of population to sustain at higher level, and through your balance away for many year. The yoyo effect is really painful. I might sit this patch out and wait for a bigger rebalance. I understand the current population gain from west was not healthy for the game, but it might have hidden other flaws which now make the games frustrating. Maybe it was unbalance before the patch, but it was fun :(
To illustrate my issue with West currently:
West level 69, soldier 1.6 billion, attack 420 million,
reward: Money 12.8 million,
vs East level 101, soldier 1.5b, attack 310 million,
reward: Money 3 trillion
On top, east is much smaller to conquer.
I don't know if it's a bug on my West 69, and it get's better if I pass (It's so tough to win, that I can't test), or if it's due to the nerf of food which was done on money and knowledge as well.
Yes, it will come back.
