Good balance of difficulty for me. I can't figure out if there is an advantage for doing the hard diffculty over the easy difficulty. Also, I am unable to figure out how skill points get allotted.
The fact that I can't turn off the sound until I get into the game, and that it only turns off the music, not the rest of the sound, actively pisses me off.
So, my saved game was gone when I got back. I've now left this battle twice with a "draw" when I didn't hit the button -- the second time I'd clicked on a creature to attack.
Problems: the hit detection, as noted in other comments. Also, the random generator of the dogs is off -- I had a full 40 secs of *just* dogs bigger than me (excepting at any time, 1 eatable dog on the unattainable outside edge). There also needs to be an indicator that lets you know when you've reached the next level of dog eating.
There is a whole lot of hopeless waiting in this game. At the start, I have to wait for my disease to spread (and hopefully to everywhere before it's discovered), and later there's just a wait game until people die, and I cry that whole time as countries stay clean and keep their borders closed. These things are not fun times, and they're 90% of the game.
This is a really cool concept, but the controls are flawed. I am often trying to click on a ship to direct it, and I send another ship somewhere completely off course. The mechanism for choosing a ship and doing a default action really needs to be two separate mechanisms.
ah, it seems that the pause button (and probably skip button too -- though now that I've skipped it's continuing to skip) stops working when I've restarted the game.
