I'm positive that the post-launch upgrades/exchange/cards music is a reference to Shadow of the Colossus. The strings section sound almost exact to a tune from that game.
Another great 'upgrade and get further' game. I really love these, you can't go wrong with them and you can only achieve better. We need more of these kind of games. Toss the Turtle can only be played so many times.
Controls are really clunky and irritating; most of the sticks I control spend their time sliding around and missing instead of actually doing anything worthwhile. This is even more annoying as you have to control sometimes in order to win instead of sitting back like a normal defense game. Were it not for this problem, this would be a good game.
Usually I've been finding Nerdook's games a bit samey these days. This, however, is a truly great game. I love the blend of upgrading and sheer awesomeness of ninja hamstery complete with a tower defense-like gameplay. Truly a contender for pest of 2011.
Odd that such an established and clearly good game doesn't have its high comments completely devoted to cheats, walkthroughs or other stuff. I almost feel slightly disappointed.
The controls are really fiddly and it is difficult to constantly select and order the systems to attack. Other than that it was a good five minute fun.
