Yay, eagl9922! It's not supposed to sound "death metal"... it's a bad impersonation of James Earl Jones' reading of The Raven from the Simpson's Halloween Special.
(and the "oooooooooorrree" isn't supposed to be creepy, it's supposed to be ridiculous!)
Actually, Tykor, the lowest time I truly have faith in (you can see it at hamumu.com/robotkitty.php !) is 2:28! I don't know how that's even possible, but it comes from one of my site mods (and the biggest RwK fan of all), who has had the top times all along, gradually improving. In the 3 minute range is very achievable... if you are amazing.
My own record is 6:28, so 5:06 is plenty impressive to me!
Oh, when the game is done? Just hit Z to return to the title screen! Perhaps that should have been expanded when the other jump keys were added. R restarts mid-game.
Anybody having trouble getting badges should just refresh the page. You are playing an older version that didn't have them implemented. You know you have a working version if it's giving you credit for killing enemies (note that it may take a few seconds before it gives you credit).
I liked double-tap a lot better too, but that was the #1 complaint, and on some browsers, it apparently stuck so you couldn't move at all without rocketing. That wasn't so good.
To rocket up (once you have the powerup), you hold down so the robot's ducking, and then push jump (Z). It's just your basic ducking jump, with fire shooting out. Firing missiles is the same, but with the fire button (X).
I'm all for badges, I put in the statistic tracking needed to make them. I just hope the site adds them! And I'd be more than happy to have 4.0 or higher, so feel free to rate me up if you want badges and huminoid13 is right! (I don't know if he is)
I'm the actual author of this game (thanks for stealing, Szunyi). To those looking for it (there was no room on the pause screen!), 0 (zero) mutes the game, and - and + adjust volume. If you want to help me out, please hit Flag Game to get this guy nailed for stealing.
