There is a little bit of RNG luck involved, however, that could have used a nerf. One enemy you have a chance of missing... and I cannot tell you how many times I've been screwed over by RNGesus. Missing -four- times in a row. However, it's a rare occasion where it actually screws you over too much. It only frustrated me on two levels.
It's definitely a fairly solid game - definitely some things that could have been tweaked a little, but all in all it's a decently simple tower defense. It's nothing like Kingdom Rush (which I consider to be the god of TD here on Kongregate) or Gemcrafter, but it's still a fairly good game if you like tower defense and really enjoy finding different strategies.
Overall the game is really good. I do agree that the upgrade system needs to be fixed a bit so you get a little bit of damage if you choose an ability.
An earlier comment states that due to the scenery you're unable to remove, it becomes less strategic placement and more setting up wherever was possible.
I HIGHLY disagree.
That makes it even MORE about strategic placement. I have quickly found solid strategy to gain gold stars on every level. So I heavily disagree with people that are complaining about being unable to remove the scenery. That destroys the point of using strategy. It just becomes lining things up in a row doing it the easy way. I LOVE the strategy challenge. That's the whole point of a tower defense game to me.
For the premium content the insane regeneration is a little over powered. I have two fully upgraded tesla towers doing it's on-hit damage AND aoe damage, with fully upgraded barbarian melee troops. I used fully upgraded meteor. Even made him stand in the fire the ENTIRE time. Stopping him with fully upgraded reinforcements TWICE. STILL STANDING IN THE FIRE. And he still got away alive. That's a mega ton of BS right there. Doubt you'll nerf an older game but really... a nerf would be nice.
Was on level 76 hitting things hard to the point I could just walk away and DPS handled everything. Decided to take a break from this game to look at another. Came back to see how much gold I had made... and when I loaded up my DPS was no where near what it had been. Had to run back to level 70 and I'm slowly creeping my way back to where I was. Unfortunately I didn't save anything or see what I lost that caused the sudden decrease of damage. :\
Love the game but talk about taking the wind out of my sails. I was well on my way to getting to the next boss and now I'm fighting to just get back to where I was...
Sorry to hear that. It would be super annoying. Did you have mission buffs that might have expired while the game was closed? Buffs from missions continue counting down, but the buffs from cards don't. Or, is it possible you hadn't reloaded the game since the weekend buff ended on Monday?
