Was it intentional to make the hardest song in the game "Tired Old Man" on amateur? The buttons seem to have a pretty tangential connection to the actual music...
God I hate it when I have the Holy Grail and the enemy has a shield. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND THAT THE WHOLE POINT OF ME SHOOTING YOU WITH THIS GUN IS THAT YOU DIE AT ONCE?!
I literally have no idea why this is rated so highly. I slogged through two horrible campaigns. It is almost unplayably bad, no clarity or skill to the game, erratic controls. Thank god that's over.
I cheated the dodo, found a walkthrough... couldn't do the bottom right corner, and as each one took me the best part of a hour, didn't feel like starting from scratch. Turns out i had everything right, but it was still the wrong combination for the next bit... that's a tough puzzle. +1 on the Undo feature, and also maybe a way to save your unfinished puzzle?
Funny how after EVERY SINGLE BATTLE my troops are totally decimated with like three surviving, and yet next battle I can still field as many as I like.....
The key to the hard badge is never to be unconnected, always to stay ahead of the game, identifying where the next group is going to form. If you lose all beams and they end up racing around the screen it's very hard to regain a good number of beams. There's a slight delay between losing all beams and the blocks reverting to full speed so you gotta use that to your advantage and jump large distances to get to another cluster in time to not let them get up to full speed again.
It's good, but I think the biggest problem is how slowly the ball travels through the air. Makes it nearly impossible to pick out a receiver if he has maybe a yard on the defender. As a result, by the time the ball reaches an open receiver there's a man on him and it seems to basically be a lottery (on the higher difficulty modes) whether it's caught, batted down or picked.
