There should be a way to check your stats outside of the game. On my first day I went into the cave and fought a bunch of slimes, then decided to blacksmith apprentice, thinking that would heal me as I slept for the year. I went back to the cave to fight again the next year and almost died since I had actually not healed! Also, you should probably heal every time a year passes, not just through sleeping.
Great game so far though! Glad to see steady progress and I look forward to a more complete version!
Hi!
You can just press "Escape" or "Right click" or "X" as stated on the instruccions to open the in-game menu. That shows you your current HP/MP.
The healing thing is made like that so you have to choose between healing up or earning money (As working on the blacksmith for example or other time-passing situations don't heal you up, but give you nice amounts of money, since working pays using your level as multiplier, so you can easily get 1000~1200 depending on the profession and the level you have.
I might change it a bit to make working heal you a small amount or something similar, but in general it's intended to make the decision making more important. If working and any other thing would heal you, there wouldn't be any point for sleeping in the inn or in any other place, since working would always be more profitable :)
Cheers and thanks for your comment. Glad you liked the game so far, and hope you enjoy it more when it's finished! Dis.
I beat the queens nest!!! All you have to do is attack the back of the queen. In the beginning of the round, quickly rush as many of the spawns as possible, the more spawns you have the more men you have, and the less the enemy has. Ignore the queen for now. When you destroy all the spawns of the enemy, you now have to worry about the queen. Wherever she's walking at the time, send units from behind her to attack. When she gets to your spawn it will instantly be destroyed, so get your men out of there if you can. When she leaves again, take the spawn back over and attack again from it, from behind only. If you have men to spare, you can send some from the front to slow it down, but that's not necessary.
such an easy boss. you can beat it without even using spells or a trinket. all you have to do is lure it under some spikes, get into a position where he cant hit you with his hammer, and of course where his fire breath can't hit you, and shoot into the spikes, they'll fall and do around 450 damage each to him. Then all you have to do is keep running back and forth when he moves out of range and you can kill it with no problem.
I agree with molongal, because as the game is it gets really repetitive and while the concept is top notch the monotony kind of kills it. I still gave it a 5/5 though, because I did enjoy myself while playing.
