I have 3 skills that say "XP +2%" and one that says "XP +10%", but it says I only get +7% XP in the stats screen. Possibly a bug? Either with the +10% upgrade or the stat screen?
You don't even have to know that a piece of music is by Grant Kirkhope to "know" that it's by Grant Kirkhope. Wonderful soundtrack, the entrance room of the caves immediately reminded me of Banjo Kazooie.
The graphics are looking amazing, and so far, the gameplay is smooth and engaging. Well done! :)
Ah, sorry for all the hate you're getting for the game. I will agree, the game is a LOT slower than the usual games, and less fun, but I think a lot of the comments here are way harsher than they should be. It's a neat little concept, graphically polished in the usual SilenGames way. While it's not my kind of game, I can respect that it is the kind of thing a few people would get addicted to, although I WILL say that these kinds of slow paced simplistic games are best for mobile, even though it was a nice gesture to try to bring your mobile game to Kongregate for us. :)
I love the game, but I absolutely hate that when I click the bottom of the carrot icon in the garden it opens the upgrade menu. It's driving me insane..
I think the very final rock should be called "Your life". Because after all, if you get that far in the game, you might as well be hitting your life with a pickaxe.
It takes a very special game for me to keep coming back even after I've earned all the badges. You've created something wonderful here and your continued interest in making the game better is truly something fantastic to see. We need more developers like you, your dedication is admirable. You've done so much for the game and we're all thankful.
That means a lot, Hayden. Comments like yours encourage me to keep working on the game post release. It's tough to not move on to my next project but I'm committed to making Sentry Knight as future proof as possible! Thanks again for the kind words!
While I do agree that this is significantly more grind-y than the previous one (which is quite an accomplishment, even #2 was a VERY big grind), I personally only play these games BECAUSE they're grindy, because I play them whilst watching TV shows. But I do think the amount of grinding required in this game (at the time of this comment) is a little too far. 3/5 because of the flaws, but the upsides to the game are still great. If you were to update the game and make it somewhat less of a grind, I'm sure it'd bump up to at least a 4 for most people.
I'll still rate 4/5 since I am enjoying it as a big time-killer.
I actually love the changes made to this from the original. I love the secondary weapon, I get to use it a LOT more than a slow charge special, I love the ability to equip so many weapons and accessories at once, and I love how this game feels a lot quicker than the previous. The levels seem to be shorter, and there's a lot more of them. I already (personally) like this more than the second! :)
Unfortunately for me, It's bed time. u_u
Oh my god I need to stop playing this game for high scores, it's making me feel sick. Super, super sick. I think I'm going to vomit :P
..I need a life.
For a mute, try using your system volume manager. If you're in chrome, whilst trying to listen to something else in chrome, though, you might have some trouble. So do what I'm doing. Use firefox to play the game, use chrome to do whatever else you're doing, and mute the flash player in the volume manager. I believe you can get to volume manager by searching "adjust system volume" in the start menu. (for windows)
Awesome game, so fun. Without the awesome story and boss fights, I'd give it a 4/5, but THIS deserves a 5/5. I think the end should have said "Oh well. Haha! :)" with that added smiley on the end. :P
Great game, really fun, it keeps the same great art style that I love about your other games, and the upgrades seem to be perfect.
It feels great to play, it controls nicely, and I'm already addicted!
It takes 1 minute and 23 seconds to scroll from the left to the right. Wow. I've been playing this game for.. Oh god, I've lost track of time. It's a good background game whilst watching TV on DVD :D
Idea for a sequel: Specific colours have specific traits, like, black spreads far, but doesn't last long, blue has a small circle, but stays there for longer, pink sends small circles out in 4 directions, purple sends tiny circles in 8 directions, etc. I hate to ask this, but + if you agree :)
