My Zombie Survival Guide ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If a zombie apocalypse were to happen in the imminent future I would do everything in my best interest to seclude myself from society and wait it out. This doesn’t mean I’m going to barricade myself in a building and wage war with attacking zombies. This action will only attract more zombies and will leave me vulnerable to future surprise attacks. To put it in perspective, I’ll be nothing more then a sitting duck in a swamp full of gators. I would become a full-time nomad. I’ll travel lightly and be as stealth like as possible. I’ll carry a medium-sized internal-frame backpack (less bouncing, larger storage) with bare camping essentials, food and water. I’ll use a cocoon pod (http://tinyurl.com/yfubteo) for shelter and sleep in tall trees. I’ll use condensation extracting techniques on plants for water such as tight fitting grocery bags on shrubs or leafy branches. I’ll keep local and remote buckets on rooftops for collection of rain water. I’ll make simple birch bark water filters for water purification (http://www.wildwoodsurvival.com/survival/water/lswbirchbarkfilter.html) from materials such as grasses, sand, and charcoal. My primary weapon of choice would be a katana because it’s lightweight, precise, silent, and durable. A single effective slice would easily cut a person in two, let alone a person’s neck. My secondary weapon would be a modern style hunting bow. I’ll use it to pluck zombies from afar that get in my way, and hunt game for food (assuming humans are the only ones effected by the infection). -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
