What sort of perks do Kongregate players receive? Facebook players are able to send gift troops to one another, allowing them to have an advantage forces wise.
The climbing onto the giants feels very..Shadow of the Colossus-ish. Very nice touch though. Really makes the game feel tedious and stressful knowing there's a delay in attacking giants.
(Long post) This is a great base for a game. Just some things need to be knocked out and re filled with something better. Say I want to add a new well after placing my first? Well I seem to lack some of these batteries since I had to use them in the tutorial. And, well forcing players to invite people to keep expanding seems a bit rude, and it's a vicious cycle of people needing more and more batteries. (Yes we can buy coins to get batteries. ) I'd suggest having batteries drop as say, something rare or powerful towers drop. Maybe you raid someone early on and they have an Acid Tower. Again it's a suggestion.
The hunger system doesn't seem like its worth it. Unless a hero gained bonuses for certain levels of hunger. Other than that it seems like a tedious element put in to waste time. That element alone makes me feel like this is a game that doesn't want to be played.
Would be nice if, say we have a large amount of boxes but no keys, maybe we could scrap them down into low quality crafting material? The same with equipment we've outgrown.
