Ugh. Two times I died on the last boss. "Right right" didn't work either time, and I'm sure as hell not going through the entire level again just so I can die another time due to buggy gameplay.
This game is just painful.
Poorly balanced and extremely buggy, this gets my 1/5 until it's fixed.
My suggestions:
1. Fix the stuttering issue. When you get up to a certain height, the game begins to stutter quite a bit - very annoying.
2. Fix your hitboxes. My spaceship often collided with objects that were very clearly not touching it.
3. Please add an option to allow for no zoom during the beginning. In my quest for the hard badge, I've had to restart quite often due to simply running into things that I didn't see until they were way, way too close. I want the game fully zoomed out from the start.
Consider these suggestions.
Apayne902: What of it? If someone goes reading the comments before beating this 1-2 minute game, then they probably don't care. Qayin: Here's an example of an exceedingly pompous statement from this comment area "This just proves society of today. People who hate this game just play MW2 all day and don't give a shit about feelings." If you don't consider this pompous, then I guess we simply disagree. No matter, you seem an intelligent person. I do not intend to be offensive in my choice of words, but some people tend to turn on their superiority-drive on artsy games like this, and that irritates me to no end.
Very easy, and unsatisfying in the end. I found it lacking in some key areas, such as exposition, narrative and an ending. So, I protect this one family from an all-out war for a while, and then I die. Some would call it "poignant" or "emotional", but I say those people are simply pompous. This game isn't anything special.
The description really should warn users running Mac OS that they have to go to an external site to play - I don't really feel like loading the game twice to see what it's like.
Dammit, this is so luck-based. If you start near a few well-placed golden platforms on day 1, you're well set. Too bad that I usually have no platforms in sight on first launch, which means that I have to reload the whole page to start again, because of the absence of a "restart" or "Main Menu" button. Quite frustrating. 2/5
This game is terrible. It looks like no work went into it at all. First of all, it's slow. Mind-bogglingly slow. It's a dog eat dog world, yet all the dogs amble along aimlessly (in a straight line. Right). Second, why do the other dogs not eat each other? C'mon. Third, there's no way to know if you can eat other dogs or not. One way to tell about this could be a red or green outline or glow around each dog, as an indicator. Finally, the game just looks ugly. The brown dogs look like gerbils, and the grass (obviously a small, tiled texture) is glaringly ugly.
I do not understand why this game was granted a badge. 1/5
