I've had my mass hack attack a few years ago with the original version. There are still some issues that can be exploited, but the game itself is very secure. The game code will actually watch for hack commands and ban players who attempt certain methods.
For those of you wishing for reduced lag, DOWNLOAD the game from the website at http//sanctionedrenegades.com so you don't have to load the game every time and a 20% performance boost.
I don't think the game HAS the Kong API or there'd be badges.
For those of you getting the "Low Computer Performance" warning just ignore it. Go into Settings>Graphics and adjust to your liking. The game only registers 1 Core.
Recommended Specs (Should be about here):
512 Megabytes of RAM
Pentium 3+ or equivalent
GForce 2 or ATI 8500 (or better) compatible video card
Hardisk space is not required unless you want to download it. (It's 80Megs if you want to download)

Simple tips:
Water is bulletproof. You can't shoot someone in water from above it and vice versa. You need to be under the water to shoot people under water.
To climb on rocks, simply find one and walk towards it. If you stop moving upwards hold down the forward key and move left and right until at the top of the rock.
Strafing is important. Simply move left and right while you move/shoot. You'll live longer.
To fire faster/fire 2 bullets in rapid succession: Click to fire, then while you're firing click again. Fire in bursts = more accuracy, and the firing timer resets as soon as you release the mouse so you can fire 1 bullets immediately on top of the other.

You don't need better guns to be good at the game. ^.^ I'm rank 9 and I prefer using the Chrome or 41.
It's really not what guns you have, if you manage to sneak up on someone, they die.

And it isn't true when the developer says that your personal ship has no benefits. It can turn at a narrower angle.
