You need more consistent seeding. I'm getting either runs where health and spells are overflowing every level, or runs where just about every other tile I get is a trap and I can't get off my feet because my health is constantly getting merc'd
Draggable view so that I can see further in the terrain would be nice. This ties into what is really my only complaint of the game is the way additional units show up on the field. Often there is little or no warning when they appear, which I feel gimps the strategy part of the game for me. I don't have time to reposition or ready myself before they're suddenly (in one mission literally) on top of my archers. I like how it sets up in survival mode, where I know they're coming before they show up, and I wish that feature could have been used a bit more in the main campaign. Other than that, an immensely enjoyable game.
Pathing is awkward, poor unit priority targetting. But the part the gets me the most is that I can only produce one squad at a time? When I have to go up against an opponent that has 6 factories to produce from? Exactly *how* am I supposed to keep my unit count equivalent, especially when they start churning out "hero" units at me? I'm already limited by food count and money, allow me to produce more than one unit at a time. Please. There's a foundation for a decent game in here, but it's missing a lot of polish.
Quality. A solid improvement on an already great game. A bit more character customization would probably be my only request. I also think that Scouting should be an actual level-able skill (with the obvious implication that higher infested areas are riskier to scout and a low-level scout could be in trouble).
Am I the only one who feels the targeting for this is really awkward? I've died so many times because I've stood next to a guy and hit air while he kills me.
2/5. Why? Not because it's a DotA rip. I have no issue with them taking the same game play (or you people should be crying about every FPS ever made). The problem is that it's incredibly boring and limiting. I have a choice of 4 heroes? And no spells? What? Plus the tower aggro makes it idiotically obnoxious to push.
The music is repetitive and annoying. The storyline is semi-retarded. The voice acting is god-awful. (The toad brothers seriously made me cringe....was that the best Jamaican accent you could fake? Really?)
The training ground features a whole 2 units that don't scale with you. Only point for that is to grind for gold. The llamadrome is retarded. There are no stats or anything to actually base a bet on. Blindly picking something and hoping you guessed right isn't fun.
This is a pretty below average game.
First level: Wow! This is really cool! Look at the nice art, and how awesome my hero is and doesn't afraid of anything!
Second level: Wait, I don't actually do anything in this game....
This has a lot of potential to be completely awesome. Just some things I'd like to see added: Some sort of scroll (using mouse or arrow keys) to complement the clicking on the minimap. I'd also like to see some sort of ability to "tag" civilians (perhaps give them personalized names, see kill stats, and a side bar so you can jump to their location)
Eh...so/so in gameplay. And rather easy.
I won with only 3 offensive techs...
Max Flare
Max Firestorm
Max Heal
And then
Max Solar/Lunar
Max Fire Mastery
White is ridiculously OP.
More or less a flash version of Magic: The Gathering. Entertaining enough, though. There should be some sort of option to "test" your custom decks by having the AI use them against you.
Insanity shouldn't cap off at -10...you can just sit there happily and cast all you want if you get one of the easy insanities (xenophobia, I'm looking at you).
and Meglomania is freaking sick.
