any tips how to get stage 11 done?

1350 priests and they only heal 120 defendes?! stage 11 really sucks..

Quite wondering, just started and played stage 2. In some battles i just onehit 500 cavalry with any unit around 1000, in some other battles i need 3-4 attacks do deal with the same amount. what dont i get with that?
