Nice twist on the choose your own adventure style, but I felt like the story often presented situations that begged for a choice but then made the decision for the player. To me, that was really frustrating.
If you are having trouble with a zone final boss, you can jam all your guns and harvesters on one side of your ship and all your gear on the other. Then just fly all the way to the side so that the gear end is out in space. You'll take less damage on the way to the boss.
Use pause when doing almost everything. Focus on your passives, not your spells. Attack spell is pretty much all you need out of the spells. Always take the cheaper right-side route with spells. Sell plants to advance rapidly before the enemy crystals level up. Game was a little bit easy--could you make the sequel a bit more challenging? Still, I liked it.
