[1985:] A plumber on a mission to rescue a princess makes his debut in one of the most well-known and beloved platform games of all time and today becomes a household name. [1987:] A game debuts consisting of odd shaped blocks which are moved and rotated before being dropped into place. Today it is one of the most well known games in existence. [1997:] A mercenary with an unclear past bands together with a rebel group from the slums to stop a corporation from draining the life from the planet in order to line their own pockets with gold. Now widely regarded as one of the best games of all time. [2010:] An angel repeatedly swings a big bloody sword while jumping around, placing blocks and killing demons who are on the hunt for general miscellaneous stuffed animals. Today it enjoys almost no popularity save for overrating due to the sheep effect.

I love being a schizophrenic angel with a giant sword and a partially paralyzed face who saves children's toys from demons who may or may not have any particular reason for stealing them. I also love the fact that I epitomize all that is good yet I hold a giant bloody sword in my hands and kill things. I love having no particular reason for doing these things, I'm just too cool to need any type of plot device whatsoever. I love being worshiped as being in the best game of all time with no plot, story, chronological timeline or sequence of events. I love being part of the 107th best game on Kongregate and I love knowing that there wasn't a game about rabbits with chronic explosive diarrhea that beat me on that list. Oh wait.

Wave 35: Many varied enemies that spawn almost all at once making this wave fast with the right setup. $122,500. I recommend at least 5 max damage/fire rate/minimum energy cannons spread in an arc on the front of your ship. I have 11 of these (13 Shot power/16 Energy recharge) and this wave takes me 15 seconds. /// Wave 38: 10 Very strong boss type enemies. $144,400. Tons of damage needed but this one only takes me 6-8 seconds. Use this wave for the $5,000,000 achievement if you really think you need it. That's all of them. +1 BOTH COMMENTS PLEASE if they were helpful, would be nice to see this up top so I know my effort wasn't in vain.

Cash grinding waves I would recommend (Values listed don't include money gained for killing monsters.) - Wave 11: 3 Enemies. $12,100. Very fast. /// Wave 12: 6 Enemies. $14,400. Very fast. /// Wave 16: Iron balls then 3 strong enemies. $25,600. Fairly high damage and spread fire recommended. /// Wave 17: 1 Strong enemy and iron balls. $28,900. Spread fire makes this fast and easy. /// Wave 19: 3 Strong enemies. $36,100. I -HIGHLY- recommend this one because there are no more efficient money making waves until 29. Also this one is extremely fast (~15 Seconds) and easy with decent damage. /// Wave 29: Large iron balls then 2 strong enemies. $84,100. Fast and easy level, takes about 30 seconds. Spread weapon recommended for iron balls. /// Wave 30: TONS of small iron balls followed by 4 strong enemies that do HEAVY damage. $90,000. Very fast (15-20 Seconds) though difficult without high damage and armor. Spread fire necessary for iron balls. Continued.

It's ok if you want to think that Shiny. It's easy to remove the scroll function in your flash games and leave the rest of the data. This game could have been developed so much better but sadly Nerd won't take the time to put out a good game. He's well aware that thousands of people can't form their own opinions of his games and will follow the "ZOMG NERDOOK 5/5" rule and think it's automatically awesome. I'm telling you flat out this game does not deserve a challenge let alone badges. There was no creative thought process, it was an hour long project just like his other games. If you can't tell me Deadly Neighbors and Monster slayers weren't built on the same engine then I'm going to call you an idiot. People praised DN as a gift from the gods when it came out because of the person who made it. Both games were terrible.

Stop to think about why he makes games so fast guys. He's using the exact same engine as he used in his past 3 games. The only thing changing is the character, the background and the goal. You guys need to stop sheeping and rate based on your feelings of the game, not based on your feelings of Nerdook. "Zomg Nerdook 5/5 epic win zomglol" Is all I see here and I'm sick of it.

So I'm playing as some guy who flails around his sword randomly while making boxes in order to prevent kid's toys from being stolen by demons. Once again Nerd I fail to understand what makes your games godly or original. Quality not quantity. You recycle the same engine over and over again and you don't even try to hide it.

Oh man I can't believe I need a whole 1,215 xp for level 5... Jesus christ can't you guys be a little more fair ab... oh wait look I leveled. Wow. I need 12,150 xp for level 6. So the xp you get from monsters roughly doubles when you gain a level but the experience required multiplies by ten. This is enough to put me off wasting my idle time. There are probably better ways I can spend it.

Lol guys I'm clever, I made your hat come off in order to further motivate you to run through my long ass level and only get 3 xp for doing so. Stop with the hat machines, this is a trend that has gone on far too long.

I love the part where I always have enough gold to level up my units and make new ones and I also love the part where this game is almost possible to beat.

^Procyonpi This is the same exact game with different backgrounds and themes which is why all this praise is ticking me off. It's a clone guys. A clone with a really.. REALLY stupid theme, zero story and a bad combat system just like the other one. I might be willing to give this game a chance if Nerdook wasn't getting his balls licked because he changed the backgrounds on Monster Slayers and published it as an entirely different game. Please downrate this comment, I'm sorry I oppose a complete and utter clone coming ANYWHERE near winning the monthly rating prize.

I love this game, it's incredibly awesome save for one problem. It would be a LOT less frustrating if I didn't have to jam the T hotkey 2-3 times immediately after selling for the tower placement grid to pop up. I've been working on Cut Through for TWO DAYS now, the sole cause of that being this problem. As much as hotkeys are meant to help for advanced players, when they don't work instantaneously they provide a lot less help than they're meant to. I would really like to see this problem (and the tower targeting delay) fixed before I can call this game perfect.

tiri23 Has the right idea. Follow those instructions precisely and assuming you hit level 15 in survival, restart it and go from there once the skills are in place. When waves of bats come in from both sides, use Freezing Nova to hold them in place and take them out quick. Try to stay towards the top also and when the enormous waves of orange mages come in, use frost nova and take them out as fast as you possibly can. You don't have to worry all too much about taking out regular monsters, you can just dodge through them unless they form too big of a wall at the top and are at risk of blocking you from hitting incoming casters. You're on your own from there though, this is still pretty hard.

Oh wow I wasted 2 hours finishing the campaign and then was baffled when I didn't get the achievement completely forgetting I put it on easy. Somehow easy on this game is way more difficult than it should be. I liked the game but then again I just blew 2 hours and have nothing to show for it.

What in the world gives you guys the idea that this game is ANYTHING like D2? You don't have trinkets in D2, no monster spawning portals, you don't combine runes that you find to make spells... Nothing is similar at all except that you can shoot a bow.. and even THAT is different between them.
