you aren't wrong about the scythe being OP. its just one of those crafts thats OP "just cause" it can be, its able to smash arrows, raipers, and even hammerhards.
geez. this game hasn't got very balanced matchmaking. seeing alot of overtiering. in other words. people are bringing in mythicals etc into noob matches and let em smash up newbies etc. this game was good back in the day. now theres too much overteiring for any new player to even want to even try the game. plus a "not so grand" RN system with the lootboxes.
this game has alot to improve on.
doesn't it only seem fair for all pincer matches to force the a.i to start off with half resources each since a 2v1?
also devs. clean up your maps. sick of getting cramped up against 2+ large ore rocks. re rolling isn't fun when you can't actually win at it due to being cramped up against too many ore rocks in the small as hell building area we have...
well. at least theres some things the dev could improve on for OE4
i know. it sounds dumb for more experienced players but the a.i progression does seem to advance at a much higher rate than what the average player can keep up with. urgh. it also feels really weird how the a.i gets substantially greater benefits than the player. including but not limitted to: clog immunity (not being placed with 7+ or more rocks in their building areas + their instant huge building area) and a far greater amount of technologies abruptly. going from level 1 to 5 was pretty fun. but 6 and 7 seems to halt alot of average players.
its not really grindy for the best tech but the climb in difficulty does grow. alot. and pretty fast. and uh.... well... theres no tutorial for newbie players :L
at least theres some basic things to point out.
overall the experimental mission is just plainly too difficult having to defend so many pods in such short time. i so much prefer creeper world 2 due to its, far more swifter and digging and building worked well. this ones too hard for me.
in replacement for the days to meet the achievements it should be clear each one in a single flight instead of worrying about a matter of days, we can get the achievements with a fully upgraded plane ( for the in game achievements )
it would be great if there was a flight 2.... and a way to break out of an endless nose dive into the earth cause you cant loose enough speed fast enough to escape the nose down version of stall.
targeting parameters are way too slow to react. also it would be nice if infest cant infest an already infested ship. common sense. right? also what about spores destroying buildings. if they are connected. well then. there goes your plans when your vital bridges are disconnected. also you will have copyright issues relating to the game series of: Creeper World. their buildings are probs connected the same way your oe4 plans are./ just be careful not to overdo it and get in trouble
well cookedpoo :L not all of us are geniuses. and either way, if you do give us advice, what good does it do if we dont have the correct stuff -_- sure, you may be level 99 but not all of us have a full kitout of just reds. or the know how to use absolutely everything. so if you want to tell us not to complain. then sure but before you do that please take a step in our shoes and by a step. i mean back to square one. ( ps: some of us have school etc so we cant play forever :L )
ehh/// well/ what everyone in the chat is saying etc sounds a little bit off... people have ben saying to keep the campaign split of from pvp ( sure why not keep it original ) but this also removes the factor of team matches ( 2 v 2 ). also, just a simple idea, if you are going to have planets etc etc, why not also create ground battles. a ground battle is where the rocks are static and kinda look like they are apart of the ground. and you may have to navigate around elevated terrains and maybe even buildings. well, it would bring in a whole new factor of battles for once. having actual obstacles to go around and so on. well. i wish you luck developer.
if you dont want to make the a.i slightly easier than much earlier on training so we know what we are in for would be really advisable. also make sure the a.i gets the same amount of resources which we can both get... so then is not one is stronger than the other to start off... cant it just be an even match...
i dont think i want to play oe4. the a.i gets too hard... and its just spamming forces etc which cant compare the the average players defenses etc. i would ask for help but its not like i have thousands of dollars to throw down the drain just to get one red piece of tech. by money i mean in game money... it also appears the a.i also has more tech slots than us. and alot more resources. its almost as if its not an even battleground between man vs a.i please dont abandon us players and make the a.i too strong... it needs a rework of how much it gets with resources... yes. i know. as you progress it gets harder, yea but i reckon instead of a steep climb, make it more steady. like enemies get shields on all turrets by campaign 7. which is a little bit steep. especially since they also get capitals in barely any time. with a higher fire rate then your own probably. its a great game but it feels as if you progress. you loose your footing.
yea... a massive powerdown is required. if we cant kill capital ships with mediums and and fighters, then is there really a point to OE4. especially since u are now creating even more class types. whats the point if whats small cant take out whats big. as well to go with it the techs are kinda ok. but your idea was to make it buildings etc... that in my opinion isnt gonna go down to well. when one building breaks, so does the tech. and thats gonna make collisions... just keep it simple with on field upgrades.... from your headquarters or something. and maybe price up capitals. since the little fighters and mediums dont stand much of an equal chance.
dear me. sometimes your enemies can be a bit too powerful. also to go with this, it might be nice to addin special missions to go with it for unique rewards on OE4. like fighting multiple bosses that also fight each other. or being swarmed. or having to defend more than one HQ
this game is gonna die before oe4 is released. we need some new ships and maybe a new type of enemy to verse :L. you can expand on the demo but... i'd rather play around with ships whole in this game first. not have a temporary copy etc.
ok. some basic stuff for anyone new. lasers fire fast and go through shields. plasma is slow but very high damage. it can miss where as lasers do not miss. plasma can also carry extra effects. standard bullets or cannon rounds fire quickly and with ok damage. black hole tech sucks everything in that's on a tile. preety much anything that's on the same size of a reactor could be sucked in. it fires very slowly and can miss easily. rockets are fired at a medium rate with some damage. they can be stopped however. boomerang rounds are weird and fly at their target. if it misses it homes in on the target. its not good on anything thsta fast and durable however. artilleries and mjounrs aka those huge cannoons fire real slow but with a ton of range and damage. they can easily be stopped however. phalanx stops a lot of things but lasers can't be stopped. they can be swarmed however by rockets and normal bullets.
there is plenty of ways to get rid of capitol ships. you just have to experiment. spores are a basic one. just keep capitols busy and attempt to carry just that one spore up... phalynx can repel a lot of attacks however laser weaponry can tear it to shreds. black hole tech is quite fficent however it takes some time to charge and cpitols that deply fighters can be tricky for them to take out. mjolnirs as structures can also have multiple upgrades including mini reactors. to help recover just a tad of energy and won't drift off unlike the artillery halo which it will do if frozen. Spartans can pummel their hp. they also need time to charge
umm... theres a problem with building in 3d space.... all the buildings would be all over the joint ( using common sense and 0 gravity ) and since we aren't exactly fighting on planets. elevations and so on aren't necessary with thinking about it... as well as obstacles. in all of the OE games. building on flat terrain is the best and shouldn't be adjusted... its not like we want to have to remote control armies through labyrinths and obstacles or the game could be a bit hard to take seriously...
