How to win: Get to level 7, click randomly and collect massive amounts of presents. Save up, then advance and buy all upgrades. If you get stuck, go back to level 7 and grind for presents.

I enjoyed it. The pace is perfect, the music is fine, the animation is simple and effective. However, I began to get bored at around the tenth SLAM, so all I can ask for is some sort of variation or the introduction of new game play elements, so that I don't quit when I get bored.

after punishing the game on normal, here is what i want: 1) Larger play area 2) automate the upgrades so I can focus on playing 3) Make every unit shoot, so it becomes much more difficult to survive to the next level up 4) More bouncing enemies, less following enemies. Bouncing enemies make dodging more difficult. Having a good mix is best, so you have to run from chasers and still watch out for bouncers. 5) can I have a boss that actually presents some measure of challenge? All I had to do was move in a circle while shooting constantly at him. I didn't even have to be there, really. It was impossible for him to hit me. This is why stationary bosses that use massive attacks are more challenging that chasers.

Just played through level 1, and I found something that really bugs me. When an object hits a wall, it does not bounce back in the exact same vector that it came from. it instead will bounce away from where it came. I am pretty sure you can find some simple lines of code on any game developer blog that will let you make the enemies in this game act more realistically.

Gets a bit repetitive. I think with a little more attention to map creation, this game could get a whole lot better. There was one level in world 2 that was really fun, simply because it felt like someone had played through it a couple times and put traps to keep me on my toes. A slug at the bottom of a long drop, a cleverly placed star above a small ledge with an enemy. Also, guns need major balancing. teir 2 guns suck compared to the first laser gun, which one-shots everything up to world 2.

It is decent for it's genre of game. A lot of people don't go for this sort, but some do enjoy playing a small game to find out a story. However, it gets really, really dull near the end, when you are missing just one piece from each collection and don't feel like scouring the whole map.

sorry for the double post, but I had to add this in: was your text written by someone in elementary school? I don't mean to be insulting, but that poem at the end was just...wow. and not the good kind of ....wow.

Great game, great concept, great music, great execution of game mechanics. Things I would like to see: -A better storyline, or at least a more in-depth one. The helper guy just seems to be something added on at the end with very little thought put in. -More challenging levels. Adaptive enemies, or at least more energetic ones. While the enemies were powerful, they stood little chance against an intelligent opponent. -More abilities to help overcome the new challenges. While the interactive surface of the planet was very interesting, it was quite easy to master. I would like to see more ways of using the living surface of the planet to move and launch myself. I look forward to an e8!

why does a stupid game like this get badges, but some of the really, really good games that everyone loves DON'T get badges?

I would love this game, if it were not for the fact that the background you used makes it nearly impossible to see the hidden colored blocks. Might just be my monitor settings, but I doubt it. a light gray, glowing background or something would have made this a lot better. Perhaps something like that Spewer game?

it would be a fun game if it wasn't programmed to only work when the pieces are in a set position. Some places the water follows the pipes, sometimes it completely ignores them.

Excellent game! I love all the ideas I saw here. I do have a few suggestions, however: The expander tech tree is by FAR the best tech tree for two reasons: Poison pods are the most effective weapon in the game because they use the least amount of energy, but are still a ranged weapon. Also, the instant division tech is WAY too good. Once you get that, you are pretty much invincible. Divide, and send your cell out to damage the enemy. when he dies, just make a new one! It should be either removed from the game or given a very serious handicap, because the game just isnt as fun without the threat of death hanging over your head.

This is a bad excuse for a platform shooter. Anything that I could say has already been said. I think Pokacker put it best when he said "boring". Absolutely nothing of interest in this game. If I had read the comments beforehand, i wouldn't have even played it, and saved myself an hour.

As for enemies, the only ones that have EVER posed a threat to me are the blade dancers and the ninjas. My entire playing strategy is built around preventing ninja's from getting to my jewels, in fact. Nothing else poses a threat. That sucks, because the others have potential. Everything else should get a boost in health, so that there is a challenge from them as well, and you have to place towers with them in mind. The blade dancers should have their health decreased, because it is so difficult to prepare for them. And finally, screw the ninja champion! It is stupid that his smoke bomb can cover him for the entire trip to the Jewels! The only way to defeat him is to use meteor shower, which doesn't even work unless you fully upgrade your manna, decrease the manna cost to use it, and increase it's power. Ninja champion should have his speed decreased greatly, or his smoke bomb time decreased.

I happen to be a huge fan of TD games, and this one is most certainly in the top concerning enjoyment and game concept. You do, however, have some work to do in the area of game balance. Temples and crypts are far, far easier to get off the ground than dens. Both are able to kill an enemy on their own, without any help. However, the den fires far to slow to be the first tower you put into play on a level, which almost always means that it won't get enough exp to do significant damage. In EVERY possible situation on every map, the den can be replaced with a temple or crypt to give a greater advantage. As for the balance between the crypts and the temples, that is well done. Both remain relatively equal through their entire upgrade tree.
