I'm no expert. I think game development like this should be rewarding to the players until balances are found and set. Since the last ten or so small updates, things have changed drastically which is not bad but have made the game much more drawn out. That does not reward players to keep playing, or start. I love the game myself i just hope it doesn't become unrewarding grinding. That's just me for right now though so take with that some salt haha.
what i find is avoiding putting the cat in, gives you more cats that clowder after you breach and the hint changes eventually. Wonder if avoiding putting that cat in for an amount of breaches does anything better than giving more starting tangerines.
Loving the game since some updates, but, with how current updates have been, there is no base skeleton, so if anyone makes some elaborate machine, some random update 2 hours later just wipes it because now everything works or looks different. Granted thats part of the process of updating a game, but there are certainly ways to make it more player friendly. But i digress, ive never made a game like this.
Fun and addicting but if it had checkpoints and a bit more of warning id 5 stars. starting a level where you fall into spikes and then have to realize oh jump off the enemies you just learned how to jump off is not great game design in such a small time frame. there is no indication you jump on it or bounced off it.
like the music, like that you brought back some from frantic 2 and some music sounds remixed. the backgrounds change and the bullets too. oh and the ships now have an actual color pallete. an overall improvement on everything id say
