This was absolutely wonderful. Most enjoyment in a flash RPG I've had since the Mardek games, and I'm desperately wanting to play more of those. Wonderful work, and I hope you do consider trying to work on it again. I'd definitely buy this on Steam if it came as a full game. And finally, thank you for taking poor performance rigs into consideration. I never had stuttering or frame skipping or anything during the playthrough (only tried Medium settings) where most games lock up and freeze my browser even on Low. I can't gush about this enough and just wish there was more.
Thanks! ^^ I really appreciate the support and I'm glad you liked the game so much! You're awesome!
And it's great that you didn't get any lag. So many others are having problems! >.<
The sniping mission is nearly impossible for those of us that run on toasters. The whole game tends to lock up for 4-5 seconds at a time, randomly, and carry on like nothing happened. It's frustrating and I can barely complete most missions.
It's possible to have the Hydraulic class here. You'd need to be a little scummy and mess with .sol files by digging around in your own computer and moving them from where the ArmorGames one is to where your Kongregate ones are saved, but when you manage to do it, you can just load a saved game that you made on ArmorGames here. Should still let you get badges, I think; API isn't messed with or anything.
The ONLY complaint I have about this game is that when you use a Hand Grenade (I just tossed it to clear room) and you have none left, it's still in your inventory taking up two lbs., even if you have "0" ammunition for it. And I had Hank with me up until the first section of Union Island, trying to save him, wound up dieing m'self, and when I respawned he didn't come back. I'll miss him and that RPG I gave him.
I'm having the same problem as Sgarrista, though I can't tell you my flash player version. Currently not at my computer, but a friend's, and he asks I don't go "sifting through his stuff". But all there is is the More Games above the ButterflyProject.com link in the lower left, the GamePirate in the bottom right, and W-Zone at the very top. There's literally nothing else.
The music kind of reminds me of Legend of Dragoon. A little bit. Just enough to make me nostalgic and want to pull it and my playstation out of the box in my closet and start it up again. In a way, even the transformations remind me of the dragoons. Blade for Dart, Life for Lavitz/Shana, Dragon for Haschel and (in a way) Rose, and Shock mostly fits Haschel also, and Lavitz/Albert- since they were the tanks. And this way a good game, very well done, just the right difficulty, made bullets mean something, and forced me to think when trying to allocate skill points (Thank you so much for letting us respec them). I really liked it, and I'm giving this a 4. Now, off to dig out LoD and the old playstation.
To those curious as to why you need money to dig, reason it as need of supplies. I'd bargain to say it takes more than a few hours to go from the village to your destination, and you'd like need food and drink to make the trip comfortably. Besides, it's a game. Deal with balancing features.
With every continuous submission of your games, Rudy, you just get worse and worse. Even most artists get better over time, given that they keep working diligently at what they do. You just cut and cut and cut, then swap colors, and call it a game, slap it on the internet, go back to Flash (Or whatever you may use) and go back to cutting what you had just made, swap more colors, and slap that on the internet. I actually liked Epic War 1, every other thing you've made from there on has been progressively worse. I BEG you, stop making things, or at least learn to get better at making things.
I believe that if three separate comments with 3,000+, 5,000+, and 8,000+ thumbs ups on them have stated that the game's speed up button needs a change, it needs change. Programmers would likely use the funny term "It's not a bug, it's a feature!" in this case. Well, this time you have a bug, 'cause it isn't a damn feature.
I loathe fetch quests, in all manners. But the one line, "What's a food?" made it so very worth doing and made me actually want to finish it, rather than feeling obliged to do so.
I love your humor Pseduo.
Make the Transmitter carrying option a toggle, not hold for effect. And an explanation of the silver cylinder collectibles before hand would have been easy to add in. Would save some of us the risk of running for them in a damned meteor shower. And shouldn't the transmitter, since you're trying to safeguard it, and the simple size of it, only be able to take 1 hit, instead of you the Cosmonaut? It'd make sense that he'd have a layer of "armor" or something on.
Found a terrible bug. When you're going into the arena and, as I had the bad fortune to find, click the tavern (or likely any town building) too fast before the screen fades all the way you are thrown back out of the arena, and any ally you hired is no longer with you the next time you click the arena. Also, you are unable to enter, the screen blinks at the Cancel and Confirm window if you click confirm. Refreshing didn't solve this and I'm very disheartened to make a new character at this point.
Had a problem with Aries spamming his flaming wheel-like attack during the Boss Rush mode, had to take off the last quarter of his health with poison alone. Other than that, I wish there was just a little more information about the beasts (especially when you're trying to choose which stones you're going to use to evolve next) and the player pick at the beginning. But I have nothing really bad to say about it. This is a good game. Damn good, actually. I actually found myself not muting this, and I mute almost every game to listen my own music. When I logged on Kong I was tired--going to sleep, but after playing this for a while I'm back to about normal. I LIKE this game.
