This week: 30% larger screen, thief upgrades and new weapons, thief skills, police downgrades, police cruisers and extra backup, new menus and you make money even while you're away! Also, there are multiple places to loot and some of them have more than just money inside. ALL of this, and just some general updates to the whole look of the game, coming very soon in the next update! Thank you everyone for your ideas so far, I will be sure to give you credit if I use your idea.
In the next update you can upgrade the shooting speed of your thugs and also the extraction speed and extraction amount for your specialist in the middle. You can also downgrade the speed and power of the cops. Can you think of any other upgrades for your thieves, or downgrades for the cops?
Update: Added thugs to automatically shoot cops and a specialist to extract more money from the bank. Adding thief upgrades, police downgrades and more in the next update.
There are people using multiple accounts to downvote the game and spamming others to do so, and there's not much I can do about it. I will continue to update the game and try to make it better so that maybe the rating will climb and more people will see it.
@Buzzkills Nope, not a misunderstanding. SumGato saw me post a question in the programming forums and decided to steal that idea for himself and rushed to complete it before I could.
What would you like to see in the next update? Upgrades for the thieves? Downgrades for the cops? Tell me the features you'd like to see in Idle Thief and I will steal your ideas and put them into the game!
You responded to my post about using Kongregate level and badges in an idle game, failing to mention it's something you're also working on. A month later, you post about the game you're working on which is exactly what I posted about. I don't believe that you were working on it before you stole the idea from me, and it's obvious how rushed this game is (because you were rushing to beat me to releasing it). Well, I'm still going to release my game, so good luck to you in the future and maybe you'll have more success with original ideas.
I wasn't working on the game when you posted your question. I just had the idea when I was thinking about idle games, but I didn't end up developing it. When Kongregate announced kongpanions, I thought about it and started developing it. Maybe it's true that I should have mentioned something in your thread, but just in that moment I wasn't thinking that I would end developing the game.
I wish you better luck with your game that the one I had with mine (2.8 rating...). It's true that I rushed the game a bit, because I think that with Kongregate's April Fool joke the idle games are in its popularity peak and I wanted to jump in the bandwagon.
The idea for this game was openly and blatantly stolen from me in the Kongregate Programming forums when I was asking for help. You can see the forum post here: http://www.kongregate.com/forums/4-game-programming/topics/371084-kongregate-level-used-in-game?page=1
Hello. I had already thought of the idea of Kongridle before I made that post. I didn't steal your idea, I just didn't start developing the game until they released the kongpanions, that's when I thought about that it would be worth developing it. I didn't even remember your post until you pointed it out in the "Post a screenshot of what are you working on", and I think I replied you there. By the way, the idea of using kongregate badges isn't new: there was a game called "Idlekips" that used it (and I did neither know about that game until some user pointed it out). I'm sorry if you thought I was blatantly stealing your idea; when I replied to your post I didn't really think about that you would think so if I developed such a game.
