none of the levels were particularly difficult, but all of them were engaging. shit, if there were more games this goddamned decent i'd probably be on k a lot more
wholly unique, but as other people have said the controls feel like they're working against you. despite that, it's pretty easy, only took me twenty minutes all told. 5/5 all the same.
honestly the one thing that kept this good game from being a great game is something that i don't say very often. it's the music. the soundtrack was great, but it didn't fit the tone at all. this is a slow, careful, reflective (ha) game. the music is frenetic, high-energy, and heavy on the bass. this game would be better suited with soft, subtle strings. something to amplify the strange serenity and loneliness of the world you've crafted.
pretty good game, i had fun with it. all the same, though, there needs to be more variation, both in terms of design and art, between the levels. i couldn't tell you which level was which, in fact, the only two features i remember are some cave i got into by missing a jump maybe(?) and some chains that messed me up in a fun way. i couldn't tell you what levels those were on. this is a Bad Thing. something simple, like slightly different (car/tree/etc.) assets on each level would've made this game shiiiiine
Interesting story, real slick, smooth gameplay, but just not interesting enough. The new viewpoint was novel enough to carry me through a couple levels, but once that wore off, I was just playing the same ol' shoot the zombies game, with nothing to differentiate it from the hordes of others. Keep it up, though, I'm excited to see what you do next.
Five stars for the most relaxing sounds of all time.
I hadn't rested in close to 60 hours before I played this game. Next thing I knew I had time warped almost a full day into the future!!! I guess you guys would call it sleeping but to me it feels like I'm really travelling through time just like Kevin Bacon in that movie where he has to go back in time and save his mom from being murdered by his dad or whatever. Does he have Lou Gehrig's disease now? It would be sad for such a pretty man to have that. ANYWAY BACK TO THE BABIES.
I barely got two levels into this game before the dulcet tones of Music Box Dancer, babies crying out, and the soft whispering of my dear departed dog Bongo lulled me off to sleep. I don't know how you recreated his soothing tones so readily in computer form, or how you know what my dog's voice sounds like anyway, but it was so sweet!!!! I hadn't heard him say a single word since he stopped eating. Or, well, since I stopped feeding him.
THANK YOU XOXO
